If it wasn't for bad character designs I would be all over this thing.

Yeah, the character designs are kind of weird, but at least they're consistent. I like the mix of characters. Lately it seems that we get only harems of one sex or the other. I'll be giving this one a shot if it is streamed legally somewhere.

I got a problem with those character designs. Enough said. I feel sorry for the manga artist getting his work adapted by this guy.

Gonzobarrels/ Linebarrels of Iron had it worse.
Dear god, did Gonzobarrels have it worse.

I miss pre-SEED Hirai.

Personally I like the designs. They're sorta retro and remind me of the 'Towards the Terra' designs.

Yeah, I appreciate the "mobile suit" squad aspect and that it's relatively balanced between the sexes on what I imagine is our main team, it'll be nice to have some main female pilots too.

For me, my problem with those were that they (were forced?) had to do those annoying cheek lines just like Xebec did for Fafner (though I think Fafner got away with slightly lighter ones? It's been a while). I'm glad this is at least more like the smooth style of the older shows that he character designed like Seed, Heroic Age and Scryed even if in the trailer they look a little wider than those.
