Maybe the two leads will actually solidify their relationship this time.
Hah, who am I kidding?

Oh wow, that's excellent. I finally got around to watching it last week, and I've been waiting to hear about a second season ever since then--though I wasn't actually expecting one!

Yeah, well--yeah... I'm going to err on the side of hopeful. Even stars can only hold out for so long against the pull of gravity, and there's a lot of that between these two (or magnetic attraction--you get the picture ).
If Sawako gets another makeover though, that'll be enough to make it worthwhile for me.

Let's hope for another 20+ episodes without any pay-off for the viewers whatsoever.

Sequel sequel sequel sequel sequel *ahem* sorry...
I heard from a friend that they've gotten together in the manga so hopefully the new anime reaches that point.

Really, I'll be shocked if they don't, since it would open up the floodgates for character development; then again, I haven't read any of the manga. School Rumble got away with it for two seasons, but then that's a different breed of high school romcom.

That is really great news. The only way such news could be bettered is there is ever an announcement of someone licensing the show for North America.

The news is a little ambiguous in that it doesn't specify what the storyboards are for...a full second season? An OVA? A movie? Anyway, being the naturally optimistic type, I'm gonna assume a new season is coming down the pipe which would be delightful if true. Loved the series and would totally be up for more. Clearly, they are gonna have the leads do the nasty...

Those people grumbling about a lack of romantic resolution are sort of missing the point. KnT is less about the romance than it is about Sawako's personal growth. Having watched it in that light, I have no complaints whatsoever. It was an excellent show and I would gladly watch more.

I agree that Sawako's development was enough reason to keep watching, as was the rest of the cast--they all consistently entertained. Nevertheless... they should kiss already.
