I haven't had a chance to watch episode yet but this is a series that I'm looking forward to. I really liked Saint Young Men and I've heard this is just as good. Plus the synopsis makes this sound very interesting.

Yay! This was a really fun show. I really liked all the characters, and the seiyus are all amazing. The show isn't as difficult to follow as Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei or Bakemonagatari, for those afraid of Shinbo/Shaft. Actually, the show was quite lively, but wasn't overwhelmed by experimental visual effects or unclear storytelling. Watch it! |

Yeah, I'm kinda loving it. I have absolutely no idea where this is going, but I have a feeling that Nino is going to drive poor "Riku" cah-zazy.

Wow. Just finished the first ep. In a word.....
heckyfreakindurnYES!!!!!!!! Wow, the fast paced cuts of Bakemonogatari, and the stylish warped humor of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (not to mention spoiler[Ko was about to do the Nozomu "Zetsubo shitaaaaa..." bit]), and there were laugh out loud moments as well. And for me, a personal little bonus, Hekiru Hikawa got the first ep's spoiler[closing eye catch], why i put a spoiler there, not really sure.... anyways, seeing that little eye-nugget makes me just a little more hopeful for a Pani Poni Dash S2. C'mon SHAFT! |

It was interesting and pretty funny. The humor actually reminded me a lot of a grown up Cromartie High School. Straight man with issues introduced to cast of wacky eccentrics, unexpected revelations pop-up, short segments. Is there a connection I haven't seen yet?

Wow, what a nutty first episode. Doesn't have the usual Shaft visual flair and crazy pacing, but still offers enough hilarity (spoiler[the "mayor" in the kappa costume was a hoot] ). I haven't laughed this hard with a first episode since seeing Minami-ke last year. Hope to get more gut-busting laughs with this show.

I'm sold out to that Venusian girl's seiyu (moe girl within my macho warrior soul says: "My heart goes 'doki doki' every time I hear her voice", while my macho warrior soul can't stop shouting "Freedom!!" += Doki Doki Freedom!). I mean, I just finished the last film of Kara no Kyoukai, and am already facing one of my favorite seiyu. The show itself doesn't seem to be that good, regardless I'll watch it no matter how bad it may get. Though I'm quite fond of this sort of lunacy, and at first I really thought she was a Venusian until the fake Kappa appeared, but even now I'm still indecisive. We'll see.

Well it definetly has the crazy bits often conected to SHAFT. We are given weird stuff that we shrug as crazy, that being she spoiler[thinks she is from Venus.] Then later we are thrown into the deep end with spoiler[a kappa], then thinking maybe it is that it might be true, then we see spoiler[the guy is in a kappa costume,] and we can't take anything seriously.
We saw a lot of the artistic stuff that SHAFT do a lot lately, and the4 guy did a spoiler[Zetsuboushita] which is basicly a requirment for SHAFT to throw in. Though I am a bit disapointed that get the same guy voiceing another main character, you would think there are none other good seiyu, but I still like a lot of his work. I actually was trying to look at trailers to new anime a while back on kadokawa's youtube account, and one of the strangest video's I saw, that could not possibley be a new anime was a live action video of spoiler[a guy dressed in a kappa outfit swimming int the water.] And I recognised the picture in the episode being of that video. *sigh* I keep underestemating the strangeness of anime, a few months ago I decided to take no notice of a live action video of a girl in black leather and a cat like motercycle helmit. Only to sudenly realise a while back it was obviously for Durarara. |

At least one series to follow.
I really could believe that Nino told the truthspoiler[Next alien romance?] but luckily it seems that they have a bit different idea for a twisted comedy. I just hope that she won't be recognized as a lost princess of Persia:) |

Yeah, all the characters so far are lovable in some sense of that word. Poor mayor, I thought he was gonna cry when spoiler[Kou treated him like a freak.] Kou was apparently spoiler[psychologically abused as a child]. We still have a lot to learn about Nino, but she is so cool, and accepting of things (spoiler["You must be my lover"]).

Hmm. It was a bit too wacky for me... no, that's not right. It just feels too much like their previous works. I think I'll enjoy the "weird romance" part more than the comedy itself, because of Sakamoto Maaya mostly.
