When they can make life-sized Gundams they can certainly make a pirate ship. Arrow

They should just rename Japan The Grand Line, One Piece is clearly taking over! Razz

They should make it one of those playground ships so that it actually has a use outside of looking cool.

Now THAT, would be hella awesome, but it should have been the Thousand Sunny instead of the Going Merry then.

You could build both of them so that the kids could play pirates. I'm just overflowing with genius today.

Can you imagine the number of kids who will be fighting over the opportunity to sit on Merry's head? While the idea is definitely cool, I don't think anyone has ever seen the entire ship from both its interior and exterior. The developers would have to consult with Oda on the exact schematics of the interior and exterior in order to have a faithful replica of the Going Merry.

There has been drawings and schematics in the SBS. Go read vol 11.

Well at least in Japan there's slightly less chance of them banning people from touching it as soon the first kid falls off the head of the Going Merry which will happen.

If they build a working ship I may have to steal it. Twisted Evil

If they're smart, they'll put a safety net underneath the head, if not completely block it off. I guess it'll depend on whether it's meant to be seen, or touched.

HAHAHAHAHA!! I dont think it's gonna happen as yet. Right now it's still Pokemon and Naruto's country, but probably in a couple of years if it's still there, then yea.

Actually, I think One Piece is more popular than Naruto in Japan.

Pokémon is a bit a different situation, since it's a videogames series first of all.

Anyway, a "real" Going Merry would be awesome for cosplay shots. Cool

YA THINK???

And a lot of fanservice junkies would be in paradise if it included sexy cosplays of Miss all Sunday , Princess Vivi and Boa Hancock.

I can hear those junkies drooling at that though right now. Laughing

Also i understand Pokemon is originally a video game , but it's anime in japan is beyond popular out there, though it's obiviously losing steam in the US.Even a pokemaniac like myself can see that.

Also i would not have though of Naurto being less popular than one piece with it's japan manga in #1 most of the time.

However i do agree that OP is indeed popular. Unfortunately and a utter case of irony it's series is one of the most pirated series & illegaly streamed series (the english dub version no thanks to 4kids)in internet history.
