I could have sworn I saw a different official English name for Wagaya no Oinari-sama.

Nice to see a new company enter the anime market And Toradora and Wagaya No Oinari-sama aren't bad titles to start off with either.

I think they're about 3 years late to the party here. Still, with so few remaining active distributors it's good to hear someone else is entering the market.

I already mentioned this in the other thread, but it bears repeating: welcome, NIS America to the anime distribution biz! After a depressing series of closures, scale-backs and re-orgs, it's great to see a new face getting into the game, and starting off with a quality and popular title like Toradora! serves notice that you plan to be a force to be reckoned with. Best of luck!

As glad as I am about Toradora and Pandora Hearts being chosen for release, Toradora being my favorite anime, and I hope they do an english dub for them.
And as much as I love dubs my biggest fear fear is that being new to the dubbing scene the dubs may not be any good I hope that previously dubbing games will have given them experience. Because nothing would ruin Toradora or Pandora Hearts more than an amatuer dub.

I cannot help but wonder if NIS is basing their choice of titles based on internet hype and fervor. I just don't see the value in pitching series that 99.9999% of its target audience have already completey seen, maybe even several times. And unless it receives a barebones release, how could it possibly make money?

If they treat the anime release like some of their games, it might help. Such as Limited Editions and such on their RosenQueen site. Whatever number they produce for their games, they need to do that for their anime. Take the pre-orders and such & I can see them succeed. Atlus makes sure to play that game right for their game releases, so I assume(hope) its going to be the same for how NISA will work out.

Yay for Toradora. I couldn't care less if they do a decent dub. As long as the subs are good and have very few (or no) typos.
