I'm sure there will be others to chime in on this, but there is no nice-as-Season-One-artbox for Season Two out there. Blame the economy, poor sales of Season One, Bandai going cheap-ass, whatever. It ain't gonna happen, unfortunately. I personally love the fancy artboxes Bandai has made (Haruhi, My Hime, Mai Otome, Mai Z Hime, Lucky Star to name a few) and lament their passing.

While it's true that Bandai isn't releasing one, Madman has an artbox you can import:

How many volumes is the Madman release though? Because if it's more or less than the 4 volumes we will have than the discs will not fit or have too much space.

It's made for 6 volumes. When I get around to buying the show and importing the box I'll just put two empty cases in their to make it fit right. I figure it's better than nothing.

Awesome thanks...I wish art-boxes would make a comeback dammit...that can't be that much of an expense...especially for popular anime that is definitely going to sell like FMA: Brotherhood...I Media Blasters (Anime Works) had a really nice art-box that you could buy separately |

Yeah. Except you're paying thirty-five dollars plus overseas shipping for a very, very generic-looking cardboard box... Anywho, TC, sorry, but there won't be a box for R2. :< Blame Bandai for turning into Faildai. But...if you wanna be optimistic, take the Limited Edition sleeves, and just stuff the DVDs in there... Two sleeves for all four volumes. |

I guess my collector's blood burns hotter than yours. Also, the shipping isn't that much, eight dollars, and the last time I ordered from Madman it took 4 days to get from Australia to here in Virginia. So it's basically the same as paying for expedited shipping. |

How's the quality on that box...I think I'm going to order it...doesn't make sense to have a box for S1 and not R2

That box looks to the most ordinary of the ordinary. To properly judge, you'll need to see the rest of the artwork. |

He took more pictures, but that's the only one that's working so that's the only one I posted. You can see the other two he took through Google image search, though. They're the first two results on the page.

That's so awesome, it's even better-looking than the R1 artbox for Season 1. As soon as I order the Code Geass R2 LEs during RightStuf's next Bandai sale, I'll definitely order this. |
