I thought the first was better, but when I moved on to "!?" thinking it was a sequel, I was wrong; I got bored after 2 episodes. Sadly.

Well I wasn't bored and the animation for the 2nd one is more like the manga version. Unfortunately the 1st is better cause of the fanservice which made the manga popular in the first place.

Also having the same guy who does the dub version of zorro, picoolo and Major Armstrong as a over the top narrator definately is a epic failure for the dub,but at least he's not as "nails on a chalkboard awful" as the subs narrator.

Luckily the Natsu and Haru OVA has a lots of what the 2nd series dont have and there's no narrators. thank god.

Really? I don't recall the first having very much more fanservice, and what there was of it suffered from crappy art and animation quality.

*nods* ... Less?! fanservice? IMHO the 2nd season ramped up the suggestive material. Shaft.... you crazy production studio, you.

*shrugs*. Don't expect continued plot, this Negima!? is represented in Manga by the Negima Neo series. It is still a fun series, but expect more Shaft antics than Akamatsu antics.

Overall Shaft went all out with the remake

The first series makes my eyes, hurt, please don't take it the wrong way people who like the first series more. The animation and character designs made me want to break my copy of the DVDs, plus the dub was fairly bad.

Makes me glad they at least fixed the dub in the OVAs and the !? series, at least the script writing and Latin sounded better. I like the dub far more then I do the Japanese audio at times, then again Negi sounds like a chain smoker in the dub. (Don't take it the wrong way people who like his dub voice)

Any way if all else fails jump the bandwagon and watch the OVDs

No loss to me as I wouldn't watch this even if it was allowed for the UK.

I don't honestly care for it ether, but it's still preforming the cardinal sin of the internet and hence must be looked upon with the highest of contempt.
