At the bottom of the forum page there's all that information about who's online, newest member, and a bunch of other stuff, but one thing always catches my eyes and it's eating me up inside:
What happened that day to have 3600 people on at the same time? The most I've ever seen is about 400 and on average it's about 200-300 depending on the time of day at a time. Did a company close down, a big show was licensed, a huge interview, what? I just really want to know why? |

It is such an exact number I'd like to believe it is just an glitch. Either that or there were even more but it tops out at 3600.

animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2007/06 None of the news or articles from June 21, 2007 seem to be of anything that's too exciting. ADV Acquires Makoto Shinkai's 5cm Per Second has a thread that has 34 posts in it. That's the largest thread for any of the threads for the items from that day. |

An influx of spambots, perhaps? I seem to recall something like that happening a couple of years ago. That might explain the nice round number too.
