I wish him all the luck I can. I loved Zatch Bell, I just hate Viz for canceling it with only a few more volumes left to print.

Wow thats a lot of one shot mangas. I hope he's not working too hard.
I really hope his new series is not kiddish. Looking at that character kinda throws me off but I loved Gash Bell so I will give this manga a chance. It might turn out to be great

I've always enjoyed reading Zatch Bell and watching the anime. I wish the author the best of luck, its exceptionally difficult to make a series that makes a stable source of income.
And its even more difficult to find original manga with great artwork and story.
I am probably the only one who will notice this, but the character on the right reminds me of Racon Mario in Super Mario two for Super Nintendo.

I'm looking forward to this, and I'll tell you why. It seems like Zatch Bell was a bit too shonen for Raiku and he needed to step out for a while. I have feeling one shots will be better for the man, both for his artwork (which I consider photo copy shonen) and story (which was good for a shonen beat 'em up). Hopefully these one shots are a bit classy and well constructed.

Wait, what!? They cancelled? What's the last volume they're releasing?

Seeing as the article clearly states it's been 20 months since Gash Bell ended, I'd bet he's been drawing for a good amount of that. I really doubt he's drawing 4 one shots and a new series all at once. It simply says they're all being published in 29 days. He's probably had the one shots sitting around for a while just to spite Shogakukan for losing his color prints, and was waiting to ink deals with other publishing houses before releasing anything.
Either way, best of luck to him in his continued career.
