You should add that since Dreamworks joined Disney, it's clear now who's distributing Ponyo.
 Anyway, speaking of documentaries, it'd be nice if we got that simultaneous Kurosawa/Miyazaki interview from LD on DVD. [Good idea for a future Buried Treasure, too.]

Man, is Hayao Miyazaki EVER going to retire? Not that I'm eager for him to, but it just seems so weird that he said he would resign after making Princess Mononoke. Of course he said the same thing for Spirited Away AND Howl's Moving Castle.
Either way, though, I'm all for another Miyazaki flick. -Jon T. |

Seriously? 14 hours? Isn't that a bit... overkill? That's more than a 26 episode anime series...
I'm definitely looking forward to finally seeing Ponyo, since I haven't found any fansubs for it yet. |

Indeed, good or bad it would draw attention. Maybe it seriously is what the Gundam series actually needs, a good swift jolt of the story telling skills of a director like Miyazaki. Although unlikely as that scenario maybe, I'm looking forward to this work whatever it actually turns out to be. (Someone mentioned time length, Miyazaki could be doing something that Satoshi Kon did and actually be making a series,) |

Fourteen hours documentary!? O.o Woahhh..
I loved the Spirited Away documentary since I get to see Studio Ghibli trying to beat a deadline, but..buuut fourteen hours!? This should be interesting. Wonder who got to be shown cooking for the studio this time? Or, which people get to stay late past 2 AM? Looking forward to watching that. (Not straight of course...) |
