Adult Swim has cleared the calendar:

http://schedule.adultswim.com/servlet/ScheduleServlet?action=viewAll&showID=329265&show=Case+Closed&filter=as

So, yes, for the time being, it's not going to be on. But, like Witch Hunter Robin, it will probably show up again.

Supposedly, [as] is going to order a third season in the spring and move the show to Saturdays (bad move since it's so long). My guess it'll be after Cowboy Bebop finishes its run for, like, the billionth time, LOL.

There's a good chance the show won't even get renewed.

They shouldn't really license long shows unless they are going to finish them. It was especially crappy when they didn't finish Gundam 79'. They could've changed the programing schedule with Conan, but imagine the out-right violent nature of the show made that dificult.

That was pulled due to 9/11. They never planned to rerun the series even if they finished it, so they kind of got caught in a corner.

What was the similarity between 9/11 and Gundam 0079? Buildings collapsing?

Then they replayed it on Adult Swim back on the original Saturday lineup and yanked it again after barely ten episodes. Granted, this was because they didn't have enough Adult Swim anime to fill out the block and reached into the "Toonami Leftovers" bin, but still...screwed once, screwed twice, and it was canceled for good before strike three came 'round (does this mean Cartoon Network walked the fans? I've confused myself with my baseball analogy...).

War & terrorism. We had Afghanistan & 9/11, Gundam had the One Year War & Operation British (colony drop that created the inland Australian Sea).

Whatever happened to Gundam: 0083 StarDust Memory?
Also on a side note anyone remember when AS took off the bebop episode "Wild Horses" because of the Columbia space shuttle explosion?

Canceled once Adult Swim didn't have to rely on Toonami's leftovers. It was one of those "edited for Toonami, but never fit into the schedule" deals that enjoyed a brief life on Adult Swim until they got more stuff like Inu-Yasha & Kikaider to fill out the block.

No, but I remember when Sympathy for the Devil, Waltz for Venus, & Cowboy Funk were pulled due to 9/11.

So then they'll eventually just bring it back with repeats?
