It also helps if you're a seiyuu fan because the cast is AMAZING.

Eh, I dropped it after realizing it was just going to be nothing happening for 52 episodes and it doesn't even have eye candy to make up for the boringness.

Probably would help if you were female like the above poster said, since it does have an all-star cast of male seiyuu.

Man if this comment was made on a thread for a pretty-girl show it'd be attracting way lots of defensive responses.

Imo Polar Bear Cafe is great. A bit much to take in all one go, but excellent to come back to and watch on TV.

Only women can enjoy an amazing male seiyuu performance? I don't have the words for this.

Ever wonder why they focus on high profile male seiyuu for shows aimed at women, and focus on high profile female seiyuu on shows aimed at men?

It's entirely possible to appreciate and enjoy something without falling in lines to some corporate plan.

It's also less likely. Corporate plans exist for a reason.

They exist to find places to get sure support from. Knowing the main trio shares seiyuu with WORKING!! is amusing("The frying pan hurt, Polar Bear!"), but nothing that would get me watching the show. It's not something I make a priority - I've ended up watching most episodes nearly a week late - but certainly something I enjoy.

Yeah, I didn't notice the seiyuu in Polar Bear Cafe. I'm female, and the first and only time I really paid attention to seiyuu was when I was watching Galaxy Angel.

A pretty fair review. I enjoy the heck out of Shirokuma Cafe every week, largely because it's a nice, mild change of pace from the norm and I love watching Polar Bear troll the heck out of people without so much of a hint of malice. However, it's definitely true that the show's blase pace and deadpan humor is definitely not for everybody.

(As a side note, I (male, and somewhat of a moe fan) also immediately took notice of the voice cast and their performances are part of what makes the show so enjoyable to me.)

Yes! Yes it is! Very Happy
Takahiro Sakurai, Jun Fukuyama, Hiroshi Kamiya, Katsuyuki Konishi, and Daisuke Ono. My ears are so happy listening to this show~
Also, I like Polar Bear's lame puns. Anime hyper

The delicious irony, I'll have to remember this comment.
