Ho-hum. Another Nozomi release, another sub-only set. Pass.

LOL, this on the heels of the other topic where we were discussing Right Stuf/Nozomi's record with their releases.

I know, really. And yet this comes with some silly vinyl/plushie I don't know what. Some blobby thing. Not an Aria fan, so I don't know. But how about giving us a dub instead of spending your cash on little knick-knacks, Kleckner...

I just don't know. I can't support what I don't agree with and so I won't even watch these shows fansub since there is no possibility of me buying the R1 release. I'm already in the position of buying R2 dvds for one thing to make a point.

I'm glad that my next dose of ARIA will be arriving soon. I've had it pre-ordered since the date it was announced - just like the first season and part 2 of the second season. And judging from some of the comments regarding Emma: A Victorian Romance in another thread, I find it hard to fathom why certain people feel this particular series should be dubbed in ENGLISH. If those same arguments hold true for the inhabitants of Neo-Venezia then the appropriate language for a dubbed version of ARIA would be ITALIAN. Which would be perfectly fine with me.

Oh snap! An Aria Shachou plushie?! DO WANT, MUST HAVE. Man, that stuff's great! Rightstuff puts some fun stuff into their releases. I'm glad this show doesn't have a dub, there's just no way it would come close to the original.

haha, I'd like to see that too. In fact, I propose introducing the practice of "native" dubbing, where the languages spoken matches the language intended for the characters or setting. It'd be pretty cool to watch a sub but listen to Gunslinger Girl in Italian, Monster in German, and so on.
