Excited! I think Mariya Ise will do a good job, along with Marina Inoue. I can't wait to play!

Awesome, I started the series kinda late with Rorona, but I plan on pre-ordering Meruru and got the limited Ed for Totori not too long ago.
Keep 'em coming Gust, I'll keep buying your priciest limited sets guaranteed
Strange how I rather buy these rather "unknows" in america rather than a "mainstream" title like FF13 (pff) or 13-2 (pff some more)
How the mighty have fallen, SE is like Toyota now. I feel sorry for Toyota tho, I don't for SE

Are there any prominent male characters in the series, it seems after the main series Atelier Iris and then Mana Khemia, the last 4 or so games have had only female characters predominately shown, same thing with the Neptunia series that NIS releases, its not a bad thing but I figured in a series probably primarily directed at male players there should be some prominent male characters.

The male lead characters in these games tend to be wispy-thin, only there as placeholders, essentially, to explore the rest of the world and other characters. At some point, I guess they just figured they didn't need them.

The Iris and Mana Khemia games are actually the exceptions. The Atelier games originally were like the Arland games: focused on Alchemy and collecting ingredients over plot and combat, and starring female lead characters.

Well, its not like there aren't male characters in the Atelier games. There are several in each. And Sterk is as prominent as a character can be within the game's structure, since its largely up to you how prominent a character is when you play the game.
And I really don't see why there *needs* to be a prominent male character.
