No no, I got that too. Did I mention that the other rumor I've heard is that they're doing a random drawing to give away volumes 4-7 of I'm Gonna be an Angel! for everyone who buys tickets to the EVA movie 
And that trailer...ah, man The Ice Storm  I might be one of the relatively few that caught that one, but that trailer is really good in general. Enough to show it in the "random video hour" before Anime Club tonight, anyway.

When is the live-action Evangelion going to come out? If there's some justice in this world, never, no matter how cool it would be to see 3-D WETA versions of the EVAs.
I'd sooner expect that out of a RahXephon live-action adaption, though I'm probably confusing [advanced] ancient civilizations here.

Uh, part of the point of Evangelion was to have extremely flawed, more realistic than usual characters. They weren't meant to be likable in the typical sense, and if you change that, then you really don't have Evangelion.
Plus, I'm STILL trying to figure out how a fourteen year old male saying that he doesn't want to pilot a giant mechanism to face against giant aliens so the world can be saved constitutes as being a "whiny, emo bitch that everyone has to hate." Are fans (or people in general) so judgemental and used to the convention of the unrealistic hero charging into battle? (It's a rhetorical question, for you slow ones out there.)

Really, I wonder how many of the U.S. population that isn't into anime know about the mecha element of anime, since the first thing that would pop into their minds would either be Dragon Ball Z, Pokémon, Sailor Moon, or even Spirited Away.

Yes there was but I am a bit to lazy to go and look back.  It was a few months ago but I think you have to get permisson to bring thread that old back by PM-ing a Mod. You could just make a new one though...but I would just get permission to bring the old one back if you want to post in it...if just want to read it I think it was in June or July...maybe August.

Well during the summer I emailed Weta Workshop concering the movie and here's the response they gave me:

Might I also take the liberty to mention that that is not a real trailer, but a fan-made trailer? If it was a real trailer, you would definitely find the news on a place like ANN instead of a fansite like that.
I, like EVA fiend, am also tired of Evangelion being brought back again and again, as I really dislike when anime are dragged out - even though I do like Eva. I mean, first the series ended, and then it keeps being re-released… don't get me wrong, I would love to see the live-action but there has been no progress made on it for years and I've pretty much given up on it. Actually, even when the announcement was first made, I didn't really care; I had watched the entire anime, and I was happy with just that. I didn't really feel a need to go and watch a live-action and if it never happens, it won't really affect me.
