Well due to a crash I have to repost this sorry darkchibi: I saw the first episode and got the feeling this was going to be one of the better comedy/harem anime that I've seen. It's comedy wasn't extreamly funny but it did leave a smile on your face, and its plot was actually pretty decent (so far at least). It was probably one of the better starting episodes of a comedy/harem anime that I've seen. Anyways I would like to hear your first impressions on this show and if you think it has potential to be big in the harem genre?

Seeing as Kanon is the big dating sim adaptation of this season, I wasn't really expecting much out of Blah Blah.. - Crescent Love, especially when I began watching it directly after Kanon, but I came out of it pleasantly surprised at how well it handled itself. I definitely feel it's on a predictable track, but it's setting itself up to be a light and enjoyable series, and I will be a big fan of this show if it keeps the same quality throughout the run.

Yes its true I'm afraid it will suffer the fate of being over looked with the long anticipated Kanon 2006 (which I am also looking foward to watching later tonight), but I have faith that if it does well people will remember it after Kanon is over.

This is another series I am going to follow. I've only scanned the first episode, but it looked somewhat unimpressive to me for now. Hopefully it will get better.

I think it could be OK as long as they don't put in any more 'coincidences'. If our space princess does know him 'from the past' then I can see it getting so very cliche...I mean how many coincidences do you need...Seen Shuffle! Now that puts far too many in for i to be even remotely beliveable.

I have to say, I wasn't expecting much out of this series, but I'm enjoying it so far. It is a bit cliche, but the premise actually isn't bad at all (it's one of those "I could've thought of that!", but has, to my knowledge, never actually been done before in any series). I also really like Feena's character. You would expect a moe character in her place for a series such as this, but her character type is actually one that isn't done too often.

Actually when they showed the part with the maid looking outside into space I thought she was the main female character due to her moe character type...what exactly would call Feena's character type?

Not sure, but she doesn't really fit the moe bill. She's not quite tsundere either.

I decided to watch this series because a certain person (the translator of the group doing it) mentioned it a few weeks ago and I tend to like the series he likes. I watched the first episode and I enjoyed it. The story itself is nothing special at this point, but the execution is well done and I like the characters and their little quirks. I was hooked the moment the protagonist woke up Natuski after their class ended.

I suppose she's the "mysterious girl from the guy's past who fell in love with him as a child and still has a crush on him" type.

I also enjoyed the 1st ep, but that's because I do enjoy watching romantic (or harem, whatever =\) comedy series. Regardless of that, I also think that the show has potential. frentymon has pretty much said everything I wanted to say about the series. =\
Out of the series out so far, this is one of my favourites, along with Asatte no Houkou & Kanon.

Just finished the first episode...looks like a pretty standard dating-sim adaptation in general, but since I tend to like those kinds of series, I'm sure I won't have any problems watching this one through to the end. To some extent, the characters are like a roll call: Nondescript lead male, check. Childhood Friend, check. Little Sister, check. Mysterious "Special" girl, check. Other possibly-interested-in-lead-male classmate, check. Perverted male acquaintance of male lead, check. Parents to give guidance or interfere with the proceedings...skipping class as usual.
But, that's not to say it's bad; it only means that I watch too much of this type of anime I liked the space battle and other futuristic elements, and as has been said before, there's a definite sense of comedic timing, especially with facial expressions and reactions to events. Good use of chibis and SD animations as well--there's smooth transitions between the styles, and it's not too overdone or drastic. The assortment of pretty girls is to be expected, but nice nonetheless. The music and scene transitions felt very much like a dating game, as seen with the "slide" transition to show the restaurant after Tatsuya and Natsuki arrive there from school.

Sadly, I fear that this is the case, given one of Feena's lines...if you've seen lots of dating-sim anime, it's pretty much a giveaway that there's some kind of random childhood "special memory" or "act of kindness" between those two characters. Maybe the game makers do that to make it less necessary to suspend disbelief when girls start falling for the guy (virtually) at random.

You forgot the maid fetish, check. Hot and responsible (but also capricious) older sister, check.
Yeah, it was pretty darn obvious where the origins of this series came from, and after about 30 seconds, I paused it and wrote down all the characters I thought would be in the show, I think I was like 5/6 (there wasn't a mysterious quiet girl). Either way, I love the princess, why? Oh I wonder~ maybe because she's a
LACUS clone! Well, not really, but she really reminds me of Lacus, who is second only to Kino in my book. I think it was probably intentional to make her appear very similar to Lacus in particular (considering what kind of a game it was and how popular she was), and that's ok with me, I really like it. If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't keep watching, as I tend to really dislike cliche harems, but I'll stick this one out a while longer.

Dare I say it...I liked this more than Kanon. Though I can't quite pinpoint my reason for enjoying this one more. As everyone has mentioned, you have your basic archetypes, and semi-cliche premise (maybe), but I dunno. It's probably due to the fact that the first episode of Kanon didn't leave that big of an impression on me (esp concerning the hype surrounding the series).
Typically, I go into series I hear very little of with very low expectations, so I was suprised with this one. I liked the comedy, even though it wasn't gut busting laughter. I haven't seen chibi form in a while, so that was a nice addition as well. But the most important thing was that the male protagonist was likable, and not some annoying jerk-face. The reason I don't make it past 2 episodes of these types of animes is because I want to strangle the main guy character. Good thing this is not the case with Cresent Love.

Yes I'm also glad with the male lead, he wasn't ignoring any of the female characters and he was comedic...course there's plenty of time for that to change.
If there was one thing that made me happy is that this doesn't seem like its going to be overly romatic, like when the princess fell, as one who has also seen many harem anime, expected the male lead to catch her making this too cliche, but she hit the ground which was something that made me laugh for a good minute or two.
