Now how can you not adore Yotsuba? Kevin is well on his way to being a bitter old man!

Is this a setup for a bigger joke, or am I just missing the funny this time? ^^;

I suppose this one of those strips where if you haven't read or watched what's being referenced then you're lost in the wilderness without a hatchet.
Ah well, I get most of the jokes in Anime News Nina, I'm surprised it has been so long since the last strip that I didn't like.
I do wonder; isn't Yotsuba a 4Koma? Would make sense, given that the strip this week is a 4koma style.

I laughed... I would have laughed harder if it was Miu Matsuoka from Ichigo Mashimaro at the door. Now THERE's a real brat.

Ha! I'm reading Yotsubato! right now for Japanese reading practice and think it's absolutely adorable. I've been telling my boyfriend all about her, and last night, after having told him about her antics ringing the door bell, he remarked "You hate children. Why exactly do you like this comic so much?" It made me realize that if Yotsuba was real, I'd probably want to punch her, however, since she's a comic book character, she's adorable and funny, and therefore likeable.
Unfortunately for Kevin, he's also a comic character, and therefore has to put up with her crap. Poor guy.

Yotsuba is not a 4 Koma. It's standard manga style. Anyways, that was quite funny at the end. That made my day a little bit better, after finding out the election results this morning which disappointed me a bit.

I have much love for Yotsuba, how can he tell her to get lost straight to her face? I imagine her doing that adorable face is does to get things in the manga... really, he is a grump!

Having not actually read Yotsubato, my first thought was to associate her with 4chan.
I think it may be funnier that way.

Again I am reminded. Back to my conciliatory Xam'd marathon.

Man, that was awesome. And, sadly, it shows how a lot of people would react IRL to someone like Yotsuba.

Yeah I know what you mean. I can't believe how screwed over we got here in Colorado, and here I was foolishly hoping for some change...

I've never read Yotsuba and I still thought this was hilarious.

I think part of it is also she really is just naive and innocent in the comic. Yotsuba has no bad intentions, unlike a lot of real life children. Also all the adults in that manga are like the most chill people ever, so they just roll with her sillyness. I think that helps the reader feel more relaxed.
Awesomely cute comic though, I hope we get to see Yotsuba's Dad.

What a funny comic. And yeah, that is the way a lot of people would react to Yotsuba if she lived next door.
