I knew about it, but I only watch it if I get really bored as the dub is absolutely horrible and I already have both seasons on my computer(yes I'm bad).

Twice now my computer has crashed on me when I was putting the final touches on my post to this thread. Maybe the 3rd time will be the charm.....
I honestly don't know what the management types at SciFi/Syfy are thinking..... The name change was (in my opinion, at least) patently bizarre; and don't get me started on those weirdly-titled movies that they're promoting that sound like something straight out of Mystery Science Theater 3000!
Considering that it's a rebroadcast -- the dub was originally broadcast last year -- I'm not surprised that there were no announcements. One worrying thought occurs to me: Normally, "Syfy" pairs a new broadcast with an old broadcast -- that's what they did this summer, after all; but they're not doing that now. I wonder why? Their ratings will almost certainly suffer. Is it because that they're trying to cut back on expenses like royalty fees? If so, will such a saving be negated by the lower audience rating? If that is, in fact, the case, then won't the management types conclude that Anime is too niche a market to be profitable? I worry about this because "Syfy" is one of my few legitimate sources of Anime (My major source is the Cartoon Network -- also, for whatever reason, the Independent Film Channel has been broadcasting Hell Girl on late weeknights at 2:30 A.M.; I don't know how long that can possibly last, though!). |

Well no this is Gundam 00 season 2 I believe. They didn't air both seasons during their initial airing.
They just finished Monster and now Gundam 00 is the new show while they'll be airing reruns of Requiem from the Darkness. |

They actually have aired season 2 of Gundam 00 before, though I completely missed it the first time around. Also, they're re-airing Descendants of Darkness not Requiem from the Darkness. I also missed a few episodes of the later, so I wouldn't mind if they re-run it too. But I would prefer to own the thing on DVD instead of buying off of iTunes. Make it happen, Manga, or I'll buy the show used. I would still like to see it in print. Very unique, even when it hasn't aged that well.

braves, just letting you know, Rightstuf's still got some new copies of the DVDs for Requiem from the Darkness, both the singles and the old regular bundle and a bargain bundle.
Yeah, they did air second season. But, god I love 00 so I'm another still watching these repeats each week even after watching both seasons several times with fansub, Syfy's airing, and now the dvds in both dub and sub. Agreed nbahn, even with the only lame excuse I ever once read as a theory somewhere being something lame like how Syfy would be trademarkable unlike Sci-Fi changing it from Sci-Fi even to this day you think about it its like "WTF"..... When they play movies like "Sharktopus", where a killer shark/octopus hybrid goes on a killing spree... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK2bBfuepKk I know you can commence a cessation on your boycott any minute now... |

LOL Sharktopus is REAL ??? I mean it's a real movie rather than just some daft stuff Poilk92 made up ??? Oh my god I don't know wether to sigh in disgust or watch the damn movie. It has been a long time since I have seen a good B-Movie. The bit in the trailer when they where riddling it with machine gun fire and doing 0 damadge was brilliant. As was the bungee cord although I did wish they had left that for a surprise in the movie.
On topic Is Gundam 00 mentioned here the same as Mobile Suit Gundam 00? If so I really rather liked the dub on that. I still prefer the sub but one of me mates hates reading subtitles and is a Gundam fan so I am watching the dub with him. I thaught Ali Al Saachez was actually better in the dub . He had an epic villainous voice. |

LOL I haven't seen any of them in a while but I still have to wonder what crazy monster Syfy's going to do for their next monster flick... lol. Not sure what you mean so yeah the topic's about Mobile Suit Gundam 00 since it's repeating it's second season on Syfy. Yeah, that guy's great especially in his roles where he gets to have fun like with Ali. |
