I can see this working for DRRR!! cause of the heavy fujoshi fanbase.
With Angel Beats though, I really doubt that this well sell, other than the Tenshi/Kanade one of course.
I think it would have made a lot more sense to do the male characters... say Otonashi, Hinata, and TK to start with. That'd get those fujoshi buying imo.

Are you kidding? Otaku are gonna eat this up! You know why? Because they'll spray it on all their body pillows, posters, and figures so they smell "real".
Did you shiver when you imagined an otaku hugging and sniffing his Yuri pillow as he counts loli sheep? Yea, me too.

I find the thought of this sad and disturbing, and am saddened and disturbed to realize that I'd totally buy the Angel Beats ones.

When I read the title, I was hoping, "Let there be an Izaya scent. Please, please, please..." . Haha. How weird that must sound, for me to be hoping for the scent of an anime character.
I think Eiichiro Oda said something about what scents his characters bore in one of the Q&As, but I'm not certain. Anyway, though the fangirl inside of me is saying, "YES!!", I'm wondering whether these fragrances are actually nice or are just cheap and labeled with anime character names to sell 'em.
There's actually a Pokemon Cologne, but I think it's just a bottle of nicely scented cologne with the Pokemon label slapped on. I'm certain that these anime scents will be similar, only with variations in smells and, you know... Nothing really absurd, like Izaya's scent being all flowery and vanilla.

When I saw this story, I was trying to figure out what the target demographic could possibly be. Now I know.

If these were actually produced with a perfume company and weren't character based I may consider them. But I bet they come in disgusting scents like vanilla or some cheap crap like Paris Hilton's line. If Lolita Lempika stepped up I would so consider it

Cosplayers: Don't just look like the characters, but smell like them, too! Excellent for Conventions! If we didn't have to worry about allergies, anyway, and therefore consider discouraging them... also the mess if they spill...
But as a fanboy, I must admit some curiosity as to just what these are supposed to smell like...

why aren't there any mecha-scented colognes, eh? =P
doesn't everyone want to smell like something out of Patlabor?
the manufacturer can run with a slogan like, "oiled and greasy."
meanwhile fans of Eva can wear the refined scent of abject despair ...

I was in a perfume store in Tennessee that had Optimus Prime cologne on display in the front window.
As far as DRRR!! goes, I'd probably buy two. Just for display/collector purposes.
