Is it wrong that I was hoping Zac would wind up with this review and deliver a Zero Punctuation style evisceration that would leave me laughing so hard it hurt?

I wonder if Theron was the only one willing to review this.
If I recall correctly from the Season Preview Guides, he was the only one who had anything good to say about Queen's Blade.

Hmm. I'm really interested in watching this series. I would have been in it for the fanservice alone, but if it actually has a decent plot/story, then that's even better!

Media Blasters hasn't sent out screeners for the last.. uh... actually I can't remember when the last time they actually sent out review copies was.
Theron rented or bought this title for this review.

I was just looking forward to watching Frank Frazetta-figured women slash the (very little) clothing of each other and I was pretty surprised by the story.

But pen & paper with dirty drawings, right?

I'd hate to know what they did with that pen.
I find the human form and all it can do kinda gross to begin with, so I think I'll be passing.

If by dirty, you mean scantily clad.

You bet. Each girl gets a book, and I think as you inflict/take damage you flip to the page showing how much of your fighter's clothes were shredded. Wizards of the Coast could make a cool mint publishing these.

Seems like it lives up to the idea of being a series all about the fanservice. I suppose it gets more points for being honest about that fact and not trying to hide it. If you're going to be all about the T&A then just flaunt it. If you see this Theron mind giving us a heads up on if the action sequences get the same good animation quality or is that saved simply for the boobies?

Way to suffer for your art....!
I'm often amazed that trash like this gets licenced and much better shows don't. Then again, I guess boobies sell - even exploding acid-squirting ones!

I am honestly damn surprised this got such a high review here. And I am damn happy for it! It is an extremely good show and the original game and show both have a wonderful world and mythos to it. The character interactions and relationships really make it, and the battles are incredible, as are the individual reasons for fighting. The fanservice, though I don't mind it, seems almost secondary to how surprisingly awesome it is. Not to mention it has one of the best soundtracks in any show I've ever heard.
I admit, I started getting into it for the yuri, but it turned out to be one of the best things I ever watched. I've gotten all my friends into it who now love it for the same reasons I do and will be supporting the localized version and importing more books and figures with every cent I make.
Gainos is a wonderful place. If you look over it because of boobs, you'll be doing yourself an extreme disservice. Please, don't treat yourself or this that way. It's one of the biggest surprises out there nowadays, and certainly far more interesting and in depth and emotional than most generic shonen trash and whatnot being put out. This show made me cry on several occasions. No joke. It's that good.
I hope Alleyne gets a good dub at least when she appears in the show. She's one of my favorite characters from anything ever now. She deserves it.

If I remember correctly, isn't Theron generally pro-fanservice? I don't understand why it would be a surprise for anyone that Theron would give this a decent review. Obviously Theron looked past the fanservice to rate all of the shows aspects as well.

How the hell did this get a B? Or any letter in the alphabet for that matter? What the hell does this show have after the fanservice? The loss of bowel control, oh no that's fanservice(?) The er, acid breast..."Milk"? Oh, wait, that's also fanservice (Apparently). The bondage stuff, nope fanservice. There's nothing there.

Easier to market. "Want tits and action? Or want some pseudo-intellectual talk-down-to-you anime?"
