The chances that KnJ getting a R1 license is about the same as waking up tomorrow and the R1 anime market being pre bubble burst.
I'm curious has to how this will turn as a fan of the both the anime and the manga.

How would it get edited? The show itself is pretty tame, and Strike Witches had more fan service and it caters to loli-cons as well... The main reason I think that it hasn't sold is because it has more slice-of-life and drama and isn't an action show, which from what I see, it doesn't really sell... with the exception of NANA and maybe some other titles as well(?)
However back to topic... I actually can't wait for this! Hopefully it'll be another T.V. Season, as much as I enjoyed the "second season" OVA I would much rather have another season.

Their ability to whine on forums is insignificant next to the power of otaku money. (I'd post a brag photo of my $450 worth of Kojika DVDs but my camera's on the fritz so meh.)
Pretty vague announcement. I hope it means either an actual new anime or a Blu-ray release of the previous stuff. If it's just a DVD box + TV/free streaming re-run I'm going to be sad.

Ah. I've tried so hard to give this series a chance. To not jump on the bandwagon of "it's child porn played for laughs!" or even the more intellectual debates against it, but alas, the adorable character designs are not enough to sway me. 
However, I will say this: To all the responsible, of-age fans who enjoy this series and can purchase/enjoy it legally, I sincerely wish you well.
To paraphrase a famous quote, "While I don't agree with what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it."
