Does anyone know what's going on with this series? It's published by Go! Comi, whose website doesn't list any volumes past volume 2. Amazon.com claims that volume 3 was released last March, and one seller apparently has a copy of it: for $999.99 Rolling Eyes . Has anyone heard of Go! Comi cancelling this series? It's a really interesting series that was just starting to get good, so I'm really hoping they'll finish publishing it.

I've been curious about this as well. I've had it on back-order from RightStuf for the longest time. Go! Comi isn't doing so bad that they're going under or anything, but you're right that it's almost impossible to find reliable dates on most of their future releases.

It's so sad, because Song of the Hanging Sky is probably one of the best manga I've yet to read because it's so unique. I've been telling everyone I can about it. But it's so hard to get others hooked when you don't even know when the third volume is coming out! Sad

I made a post about Go! Comi a while back asking if they were going under... Now I'm pretty sure they are, because their website has been dead for quite a while now. Plus, they had a massive sale of super cheap manga (and I don't mean the defective bundles section). =/

The Go Admin finally posted over on the Go!Comi forums...

Not that a lot of information was given but the forcast looks a little grim for anything other then 07-Ghost.

I *LOVE* Song of the Hanging Sky! It has a fairly unique premise (veteran in hiding discovering and becoming a part of ancient tribe of winged people, possibly based on native Americans, and learning about their language, social structures and history), it has a full cast of well developed characters, and the last volume released in the states ended on a cliffhanger.

Instead of simply mourning the loss of Go!Comi, why don't we turn this forum into a discussion of the actual manga? More publicity never hurt a beloved series get a license rescue!

I found it interesting that the manga-ka used Native American culture as the inspiration for the bird-people's society. It's quite unique, and not something that you see very often. Shaman King tried using it, yeah, but it was heavily caricatured. It felt way more realistic with SOHS.
