*happy dance* This is happy and unexpected news! I wonder what other countries are gonna appear. This past week Cuba (of all countries!) showed up. Maybe there'll be a Chibitalia part to it.
I can't wipe the silly grin off my face.

Wait, wait, wait. Hetalia Movie? I am there! I can't say how happy I am to hear this. Now all we need is that Zetsubou Sensei Movie.

I'm excited, but a whole movie? Hetalia's great in short episodes, but I wonder how well it'll play out over 60+ minutes? Will there actually be a serious storyline?

Interesting, but... how do you turn a series of 5-minute shorts into a full-blown movie?

The original TV series for this was only 5 minutes, right? Is the material really suited for a feature-length film? From what little I've seen of the show it seems to rely significantly on fast-paced gags that are entertaining in short bursts, but I don't know how it'd fare for an hour and a half.

Wow, that's interesting. I wonder if it will just be a retelling of all the main-storyline chapters.
I hope Deen has nothing to do with it this time, though (Because let's face it, they have pretty bad directors there and their designs of some of the characters...particularly the often icky colours used, arent the best and often dont do Himaruya's art justice.) Movies tend to have better budgets so I'd like to see what the characters look like for it. Could be fun.
EDIT= As for the length, it could just be a short movie. (30-40 mins) After all, they did it with DiGi Charat, which had even shorter episodes (3 mins).

Please good God that has smiled upon us, let this be a War of Austrian Succession movie. Please. That would be so hardcore awesome and I'd sacrifice my firstborn in return...
EDIT: To those of you who doubt Hetalia's ability to produce a good full length movie, I'm going to disagree. While the anime is indeed 5 minute episodes and a lot of the manga is just short gags, there are some chapters that would make a good movie. The aforementioned War of Austrian Succession would be a good choice. Buon St. Valentino would also work (and would probably make more sense considering Austrian Succession has little to do with the main cast).
TL;DR There are a decent amount of strips that have sufficient plot for a movie to be made.

...A Hetalia movie that does not feature Italy, Japan, Germany America, China, or Russia, leaving only a quarter of the main cast present (and none of the main three).
As cool as those strips are, that would... not happen. It would also be a really poor decision on their parts, business wise.
edit: Buon San Valentino would be fantastic, but I actually am not sure they'd do it. I don't know if it's intentional, but they've been kind of not doing the really shounen-ai text heavy strips in the series, and what's heavier on the gay than Buon San is?
I don't know what they're going to do personally. But please god do not let it be anime only content.

Seconding. There are so many strips that fans are interested in seeing that there should be no need for a filler story. Even if it's not the War of Austrian Succession, it would be great if the movie was based on one of the longer storylines.
