This might sound a bit arrogant and heartless of me but, how is a broken arm gonna affect her voice.

She's not dead, dying, critically injured, comatose or on the verge of losing her livelihood....yet another slow news day at ANN.

It's Sunday. It's a slow news day, period. :) Even with the weekend's historic election, Japanese newspaper and web sites are reporting on Yokoyama.

But if her contract has a clause involving injuries of this manner......
At least she's in good spirits. And yes, I just compared athletes to voice actors.

Probably not much, but you probably want some time off anyways?
She also does stage acting, by the way. Not sure about right now though.

Why would you highlight Sakura Wars when she voiced Sasami, geeze. Glad she's alright. Japanese people need to stay off those motor-bike type vehicles. First Handsome Jet dies, we can't have Sasami dying too. It's not like they're related in any way, but I still brought it up. End post.

In the Sakura Wars franchise, she is the lead actress for most of the titles, including the ones that are the most played and viewed. In the Tenchi Muyo! franchise, her character is not the male female lead for most of the titles (albeit, she is one of the main female characters). Both the Sankei Sports newspaper and the Gigazine website list her Sakura Wars credit first. Indeed, Sankei Sports doesn't mention any other credits.

Well, Get well soon!
Come to think of it, has she voiced anything in the past few years?

Sakura Taisen/Wars is the better known credit for her in Japan, as Egan Loo pointed out. The games are huge there, and there were grand stage musicals with the original voice actors running for over 10 years. They ended just last year. There was even a Sakura Taisen store and cafe in Tokyo that was also open for a decade.

Yes, don't forget Sasami as lead in Magical Girl Pretty Sammy and Magical Project S. The Tenchi franchise, in terms of anime, is more known and liked in the U.S. I would think. My first thought was where the hell was Ryo-Ohki when all this was happening!?
And yes, a little time off is appropriate, I'd say, considering a broken arm and multiple other minor injuries.

It doesn't directly but as said she'd want time off to recover simply. Indirectly the pain she's in (or that could spike any moment) could very well affect her voice while she's acting, causing the need for retakes which would slow things down, produce sub par work that she expects of herself and others expect of her thus possibly damaging her reputation. Any physical damage could affect her voice.
Good she wasn't more seriously injured.
