People called BS about Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! being $20 for a 50MB download. I called BS on them. (Final Fantasy VI was 4MB; are you gonna say it was never worth $60?)
Now, I gotta call BS on this. I was happy to find that Persona is going to have a day-and-date PSN release; nothing short of enraged, however, to find out that the download release is still going to be full retail price. I considered Badman a great deal because it cost $10 less than the originally-planned retail release, but this? You don't even get the soundtrack. Atlus, I thought you were better than this. :P And if it's Sony pulling their usual monkeyshines and forcing them to release the download version at the full retail price, then yeah, the PSP Go ought to blow up in their face. |

I completely agree with you. I applaud NIS America's initiative ($20 for a digital download game that was originally going to be sold to retailers for $30 is perfectly fair) and am highly disappointed that Atlus is being so backwards in their approach to digital downloads. The game really should be $30 at max as a digital download. The fact that it's the same price as the retail version (which also includes the soundtrack) is insulting.

Disappointing but unsurprising, given the current financial state of Atlus. Oh well; anyone who cares enough about Persona/SMT/Atlus/etc was going to get the physical copy anyway.
