OH MY GOD, YES!!!! Anime hyper Finally another good yuri anime!!! And it's canon, not subtext!! It isn't fan-sevicey or gimmicky or anything. Just a well-written high school drama with wonderfully realistic characters. Huzzah!!

No doubt it is yuri, but based off the description, I thought this series was based off a date simulator game.

Also why it's a nice plus. Though I wouldn't say wonderfully realistic, but much more realistic than most. Razz

Ironically, Aoi Hana was serialized on a magazine named "Manga Erotics F", and I don't recall anything erotic in Aoi Hana! Laughing

While waiting for a confirmation for Sasameki Koto, another great news! Very Happy

However... why does the article not mention that it's a yuri series?
The main character, Fumi, is lesbian, no doubt of it, it's a central point of the plot.

PARTY HARD! PARTY *ING HARD! First more Nanoha and now THIS!!!

Finally a good yuri anime! Oh, how many mediocre yuri anime we have watched waiting for this day. Let's pray that they won't butcher the manga and this will be good.

This is excellent news. I read a bit of the manga a while back, and would love to see an anime made of it.

Cool. There hasn't been a good yuri anime since Blue Drop, and it sounds like Aoi Hana could be the one to break that trend.

I think this is a startling choice for an anime. Seems to defy the reason for animation, really. There's no complex visuals, no rich backgrounds, just simple, aesthetically pleasant art.

I can't help but wonder if this is a non-servicey attempt to capture the Marimite audience. I know that I'm not the only Yuri fan who is looking forward to this immensely. Based on the comments I'm seeing in Japanese fandom, this has a pretty sizable audience waiting for it. Sasamekikkoto too if that turns out to be more than rumor.

Cheers,

Erica
