Might want to mention the two-volume double-pack is still on schedule.

That's kind of strange don't you think?
Maybe they plan to cancel the singles since everyone is buying the double-packs anyway. Aren't the double-packs just two singles wrapped together?

Well yeah, but presumably not everyone can afford to make such purchases in bulk. That's probably a bad excuse, but I'm sure some people would make it.
Very curious though.

I told you all that show was niche, but did you believe me? Nooo!

No more niche than Code Geass. At least TTGL caused me to want to double dip, whereas I've no plans to buy CG before some kind of cheap boxset comes out.

Code Geass appeals to the Gundam Wing fandom. GL appeals to the 80s mecha fandom.

Or maybe the 2-packs are selling better.
The original story was the subs were coming out first, then the hybrids.
Maybe this all has to do with their absorbing BV & shuffling stuff around.
Maybe they figure the market is soft & there's no need to push themselves to release the stuff that fast.

And Gainax fans, and shonen fans, and general mecha fans, and "any anime on TV" fan, etc. Heck, every single one of my friends into anime has seen it, and the anime they are each into is quite varied.
GL might not be Naruto/Bleach level in terms of popularity, but to call it niche is simply silly.
Also, the actual 2-pack REs and LEs (let's face it, who would actually buy the volumes seperately? That costs MORE!) are NOT being delayed.

Bandai has been having problems with their replicators for a while, and other titles (including Code Geass) have been delayed because they can't get their act together. I know how much you like to make inane comments on every news article, but this has nothing to do about whether or not GL is niche.

Don't get me started with their replicator problems. It's because of this that I had to buy vol. 2 of Flag twice, and even then there were some slight skips at ep 7. (It's also the reason why I'm a bit leery about buying the Code Geass and Gurren Lagann two-disc sets.)
Why, Bandai? What the hell happened to standards? What happened to quality control?

I like Code Geass way more than Gundam Wing. Must be the higher ratio of bishoujo.
Making do with TV watching, no plans for buying the DVDs, though.

I believe that is the case, and I know it's the case for their double packs of Code Geass since I'm looking at mine right now. I'm rather curious to know why this delay is happening since presumably the double and single packs are made in the same place, which makes me think it's not a manufacturing problem. I'd guess that it might be the case that sales show that people much prefer the better deal of the double pack, but I have no idea. On the other hand, if that were the reason, then it would make more sense to drop the singles entirely and not delay them. Very interesting if nothing else.

the more eps per $$, the better I say. I'd buy more anime in general if they all came out as cheap, no-frills thin packs.
