Wow, Gurren Lagann is truly amazing. I can now rank it among my most favorite anime of all time (there are three of them so far). Interestingly enough, all of them are Gainax titles:

Neon Genesis Evangelion
FLCL
Gurren Lagann

(in the order I started watching them)

OK, but enough Gurren Lagann.......Since Now and Then, Here and There ended last week, SciFi's been showing other random titles in NTHT's old timeslot, and oh man, did we get a "treat" tonight:

M.D. Geist

The hour I spent watching this was one of the most wasted hours of my life.

This anime was one of the most chauvinistic, sexist, needlessly mindlessly gruesomely disgustingly and revoltingly violent pieces of trash I have ever had the misfortune of suffering through.

I have nothing but harshly negative feelings for M.D. Geist.

Its dub was abhorrent, too.

And to add one more thing before I can hopefully completely break myself away from this anime forever:

While watching it, and since finishing watching it, I felt and still feel like vomiting and taking multiple showers, in order to purge my mind and body of this awful awful sin on humanity.

And I am dead serious.

Josh, it sounds like you got Geistroll'd.

Everyone else already knew how horrible M.D. Geist is.

Considering the kinds of things Spiral Technology allows, spoiler[I'm pretty sure they weren't human to begin with.]

I was under the impression that they were from that vilage of girls and that it was from one of them that the princesses came from.

I don't mean to stray OT, but what was on after GL on Monday? I forgot to check the guide to see if it was anything I wanted to record.

Just got caught up again (too many new tv shows this season!), why did they change the name of the Rasengan to "Lazengan", "L" always sounds lamer tha "R" (except in Deathnote).

because it's the official romanization from Gainax perhaps?

because it is "Lazengann". you'd probably think it's Rasengan cause of Naruto, but that's not the case here.

It's the same work, just translated differently, and Rasengan sounds much cooler.

Still doesn't change the fact that Lazengann is the official Romanization chosen by Gainax

and here is proof as you can see, the name on the box is Lazengann.

Oh man, Gurren Lagann... This show just keeps getting crazier and crazier in the best way possible.

And...

As for M.D. Geist II: Death Force; well, first of all, read my thoughts on the first M.D. Geist here:

animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=642494#642494

And now, M.D. Geist II: Again, pure trash, pure filth, pure garbage in the worst way possible. Seriously, my thoughts on both M.D. Geists are the same, so just read that post I linked to to see how bad I know (not just I think, but I know) these two "anime" are.
