Oh man, I love this show. I really liked both episodes this week. Nia was absolutely perfect. The "You must be a pissingoff person." had me roaring Laughing. Can't wait for more!

Episode 11 is one of the most popular episode in Japan.
It's just reminder, but I hope you do not miss tonight.

By the way, I hate the Sci-Fi channel cut up the episode in the middle, for the commercial message and omit the eye-catch illustration.

This was my first time hearing Nia's English voice, and I think it's perfect! She managed to pull off the right mix of soft-spoken and strong-willed that's so hard to get in English most of the time.

paraphrasing.

"It's a whole village of nothing but hot young women."

Leeron: "What a dreadful village"

Last night's episodes were great! The first one was very strong, and the last one seemed like a good filler/inbetween story.

I really hate all the commercials though, and the cut-up credits.
Confused

spoiler[Unless we find out more about her, I didn't see her as that important. Important? yes. As important as Simon getting sane again in the previous episode? no. I just thought she was more of a "Gung-ho-Guns"-type character, and I knew from the start she'd be taken care of.] Aside from that, the episode was mostly about devolpment between characters with a little bit of a "Beach"-episode thrown in at the start. Don't get me wrong, it was great. I just didn't think it was one of those episodes that's really important to the story. Unless future events in the show prove me wrong.

Why do so many people insist that anything that isn't critically related to the plot is filler? Character and relationship development matter too.

Hey, I didn't say it's a bad thing at all. I agree, character devolpment does matter, and they are more often than not my favorite episodes.

isn't anything not pertaining to the main story line filler? like anything that diverts their attention from their goals like i dunno lets fight lord genome and save the human race but first lets have a beach party with ten minutes discussing yoko's not skimpy enough swim suit

I shouldn't have said anything to start with, as I'm dragging this off topic, but I find your definition of filler fundamentally flawed. Trying to keep this in series, by your definition (at this point of the show) the episode in which Rossiu, Gimmy, and Darry were introduced is filler because it did not further the protagonists' goal of defeating Lord Genome. One doesn't necessarily know whether the events of that episode will prove to be of crucial importance or just a distraction from the objective. Someone missing the episode and catching the would easily enough figure they'd missed the introduction of a character, but they wouldn't know they missed the introduction of a Chekhov's Gun (the book the village leader gave to Rossiu). spoiler[It isn't really a Chekhov's gun, it just seems like one, but the parallel between Rossiu's village and the future situation play an important role after the time skip.]

true two minor characters were introduced during the filler. but even missing the episode would the person watching particularly care? the characters don't become interesting/usefull till later in the series while an introduction is essential obviously it could be missed as long as they see the character playing an important role later on i dont want to say that filler isn't completely unnecessary just that if a series was devoid of it (even though streamlining something to that extent would be quite dull) it would still make sense
