Well once episode 14 of Gundam 00 started, i was thrown away as i heard one of the most amazing songs EVER!!!!!
Ash Like Snow - The Brilliant Green, was amazing, i totally listened to it everyday lol. Especially the OP itself, was very beautiful and graceful in a sense, Gundam 00 was on a rise. Then once the Episode concluded, i thought i was about to fall to the ground... xD Friends - Stephanie, just made my go crazy heh. I seriously wanted to learn more about this Stephanie, she has an amazing voice, i hope to hear more songs from her. Great OP/ED!!! the 3rd OP/ED's better be much better or else i'd demand them to go back to the 2nd ones lol

Personally I've heard better. Haven't seen Gundam 00 although, being an anime music theme guy I'm checking out the songs you've mentioned. If I had to choose between the two I'd pick Stephanie. Got that pitch to it that I enjoy.

Well, I'd like to disagree with you on that. I think Ash Like Snow is a great song. Now, though the comparison's with L'Arc~en~Ciel (OP01 Daybreak's Bell), I still think it manages to make an impression upon the listener. Plus, the songs has good music going for it.

I really like both songs. "Ash Like Snow" has gotten me interested in The Brilliant Green, and wouldn't you know it. I learned something. Well, a couple things such as the vocalist is actually Tommy February6/Heavenly6 which was quite interesting.

Anyways, if I were to compare "Ash Like Snow" to "Daybreak's Bell", one might think I'd easily pick L'Arc's song since I'm a huge fan of the band but I think "Ash Like Snow" is a respectable replacement of the previous opening. Both songs are awesome.

As for the ending, I didn't like the first ending very much so I'm glad that "Friends" was a great improvement. This song has also gotten me intrigued by this up and coming star. She really is talented, and I can't wait to see what else will unfold in her career.

So my opinion of The brilliant Green's "Ash Like Snow", and Stephanie's "Friends", as well as L'Arc's "Daybreak's Bell". Their all awesome! And, I agree, if the third OP/EDs fail in comparison, I will also be protesting for the former to return.

I should note though I haven't seen Mobile Suit Gundam 00. I hope it makes its way to North America though because See/Seed Destiny (mainly Seed Destiny) didn't leave the best impression of the Mobile Suit Gundam name for fans. Not to mention, the director for Fullmetal Alchemist is behind this one, which has me incredibly anxious.

Well, ignoring my excessive love of Wana, Friends is still a pretty good ED. I prefer Wana, but they can't keep it forever. I might have to look into Stephanie though...

However, Ash Like Snow is probably one of my favorite anime OP's in a long time, and looking into it The Brilliant Green is a pretty awesome band with a good mix of music. I actually prefer it to Daybreak's Bell by a bit, though I'm no huge L'Arc fan myself, outside of just a few tracks here and there. Not that it wasn't good, I just didn't like it quite as much.

Plus, the intro reminds of Beat the Angel from the video game Tales of Symphonia >_>

My thoughts on the 2nd opening and ending songs.

Ash Like Snow - The Brilliant Green - Overall its a good listen, not as good as Day Break's Bell by l'arc~en~ciel however it works better with the animation. The song's crashing symbols combined with the great timing of explosions on the opening animation give a feeling of excitement and epic feeling which makes the 2nd opening a more enjoyable watch compared to the first opening animation paired with Day Break's Bell. However as a stand alone song Day Break's Bell takes the cake.

Friends - Stephanie - Its a great song to listen to on its own, great vocals and one of the best j-pop songs I've heard in a while. However as it stands with the animation I felt tat Wana by The Back Horn was a better watch.

I can only hope season 2 picks up where season 1 left off with even better music. Gundam has always had a great mix of tunes with memorable openings.

Personal Favourites include:

Opening Songs:

Just Communication - Two Mix (Gundam Wing)
Pride - High and Might Color (Gundam SEED Destiny)
Turn-A-Turn - Hideki Saijou (Turn A Gundam)
Dreams - ROmantic Mode (After War Gundam X)
Silent Voice - Jun Hiroe (ZZ Gundam)

Ending Songs:

Human Touch - Warren Wiebe (Turn A Gundam)
Friends - Stephanie (Gundam 00)
Reason - Nami Tamaki (Gundam SEED Destiny)
River - Tatsuya Ishii (Gundam SEED)
Anna Ni Issho Datta No Ni - See-Saw (Gundam SEED)
