I kind of have mixed feelngs about this. I mean, I love the show, but I kind wish it would end. Oh well, if it's as funny as the first season, that's not such a bad thing.

Wow, I love the series, but it didn't really need any more episodes... Oh well, more hilarious "in" jokes for the fellow otaku.

I was getting annoyed that it seemed we were running out of episodes for the Hina stuff, second season solves that problem nicely.

WOOHOO!!!!!! This is awesome! Typically, when a show runs this long, it's just some crappy shonen beat 'em up!
To all those people thinking that the first season got weaker in the middle, remember that that was about the same time they transitioned from manga inspired episodes to original episodes, which didn't benefit from Kenjiro Hata's genious! Rejoice! More episodes means more Manga-based episodes!

Yay! This was truly the best anime of 2007! I was so sad to hear it was ending soon, but now my little prayers have been answered for a second season!

I've never understood this way of thinking. If you like the show, why do you want it to end?

I'm guessing it's out of a desire to see a show end on a high note, rather than dragging on too long and slipping into mediocrity or a poor ending.
But hey, I haven't wished for Hayate the Combat Butler to end yet...we were lucky enough to get 52 episodes, so another 26-52 episodes is even better

It took forever for this series to grow on me, but I've gotten to really like it over the last 20 episodes or so. I still don't love it, but I guess wouldn't mind another season (although I can definitely see where the first two posters are coming from). I don't find it hilarious (it's mildly funny to me at best), but it's the perfect series to watch when you want to just turn off your brain, and we all need something like that occasionally.

Well, there's that too but...it's kind of hard to explain. Even if you love a show, if it goes on too long, it can be a little tiring. Of course, with only 50-some episodes under its belt, I seriously doubt "Hayate" is in danger of this any time soon (especially considering that there are only a few episodes so far that I truly consider "weak"). I guess I'm just being a little needlessly apprehensive.
