I made an overview of how the new fall 2024 anime fall on a day to day basis. It's just easier for me to check what's playing on a given day that way. I've edited out most of the updates and release dates since it's been awhile and they just became clutter..

Murai in Love is on Hulu on Wednesdays. Three episodes are out, but I don't think it debuts on broadcast tv in Japan until Oct 2, so I don't know why Hulu got a head start.
Looks like a full dinner this season.

As I announced in a different thread, I'm putting myself on a diet of new Fall shows to make room to chip away at my physical collection. As such, I'm restricting myself to sequels of beloved titles and a few newbies that seem particularly attractive to me. The list of newbies may expand depending on what I read in previews and discussion threads. In any case, my initial plan is: Thursdays Dan da Dan (Oct 3) Fridays Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online 2 (Oct 4) Saturdays Uzemaki (Sept 29) ADULT SWIM, TOONAMI Dan Machi (Oct 5) Blue Exorcist - Beyond the Snow Saga (Oct 5) Demon Lord 2099 (Oct 12) Sundays Shangri-La Frontier (Oct 13) Ones without a day yet: Orb: Movements of the Earth A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School After-School Hanako-kun So theoretically 10 new shows and 2 shows from this season (if they continue) which would be a grand total of 12. I've been doing a dry run for the last few weeks and it seems I can easily handle a dozen or so streaming shows AND still make a dent in my physical collection. |

I am not even going post my disgusting list of 31 shows that I am probably going to watch. Regardless, lots to look forward to.

Thanks for the update, Gina (I just edited it in the original post). I always have a hard time digging up any info on Hulu and Amazon anime.
As to my predilections and predictions, One's I'm actively looking forward to: Mondays Nil so far. I'm still in the middle of season 4 of Natsume's Book of Friends - and watching about 3 or 4 episodes a week, so I doubt I'll be caught up in time to jump on the pilot episode. Tuesdays Nil so far. For some reason, Monday and Tuesday tend to be an anime wasteland for me very season. Wednesdays 1. Re:Zero - Liked season 2 though it was a tonal shift. Thursdays 2. Dan da Dan - Yup, yup, yup. All signs are good, all systems go. 3. Blue Box - High hopes that this will be my romance animai of the season. 4. Goodbye Dragon Life - has a bit of an easygoing Farmer in Another World vibe. 5 Negative Positive Angler - Looks great and unusual. Fridays 6. Loner Life in Another World - looks like an isekai that's not just a cheap cash grab. 7. Magilumiere Co, Ltd - magical girls aren't my go to genre, but this one looks fun. Saturdays ? Uzemaki - if I can watch it (not a high seas sailor or oversubscriber). Otherwise, I'll wait. 8. Dan Machi - was worn a bit by the dungeon crawl of season 4, but lots that I loved too.- 9. You Are Ms. Servant - A ninja maid bodyguard trainer? Have high hopes it'll be fun. 10. Demon Lord 2099 - looks like it's going to have a great...aesthetic? Mood? Sundays 11. MF Ghost - won't even try to justify it. I like it and don't know why. 12. Shangri-La Frontier - Yessirree Bob's your uncle. So that's 12 that have a streaming platform announced and that I'm looking forward to. If Mushroom Pup, and The Healer who was Banished find a home, I could add them to that list, And I'll be trying Tying the Knot With an Amagami Sister,Acro trip,The Blue Wolves of Mibu, Tohai – Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku, A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School, and Haigaraku with an open mind. assuming the latter 4 get a platform. As to ones I'll try with some inherent bias just to check my anime boxes: Notorious Talker Runs the Strongest Clan, Let this Grieving Soul Retire I[i]'ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, Yakuza Fiance and The Do-Over Damsel just in case I'm missing something. The reasons I have reservations: Notorious Talker and Grieving Soul have trailers that suggest the companies who usually make low budget, bargain basement isekai have switched their focus to RPG like fantasies. Interesting concepts that might deserve better. I'll Become a Villainess and Do-Over Damsel look more like drama prone romances than the comedies or more active female boss isekai that I like. Yakuza Fiance looks kind of boring and depressing - Nisekoi with angst - but that could just be me. |

I do notice that the villain reincarnation/revive genre is growing bigger and bigger. We have like 2 every season now at minimum.

I've found animeschedule.net to be a pretty good source that's easy to use (and that I don't have to futz with to read on my screen), and during a season it's been fairly reliable about delayed episodes and such anomalies. Although it wouldn't have helped you much with Murai unless you were looking for it, since they put it with summer because of the Sept. start date. It's too early to recommend the series, but I do recommend checking it out if/when you can, because it's a seriously off the beaten track rom-com. I'm still trying to decide what to make of it, but I'm liking it a lot so far.

Smurky - yup. Looks like RPG isekai are finally thinning out, and Otome game isekai are on the rise.
Gina - thanks again. I do like the way that site credits some of its sources. As to Murai, I only subscribe to one extra non-anime, non-Amazon Prime service at a time, and I'm subscribing to Netflix again in October. When I eventually cycle back to Hulu next year I'll check back in on Bleach and anything else I missed that looks good. And looking that site over reminded me, I'll try Trillion Game, Mechanical Arms, the new Gundam series and Orbs: Movements of the Earth too, though I didn't particularly vibe with any of their blurbs or trailers. |

You're good. I can barely make enough time to create/update threads or the Index as it is, so having a "preview thread" for each season in this forum is totally fine  . I don't even care if y'all create your own discussion threads for old/upcoming series without the fancy formatting. My OCD will eventually force me fix it. Just put a title and a comment, and I'll take care of the rest  .

I copied the schedule I made for the Master Index and pasted it into the opener of this one. There's not a thread for every show, but that's most of them, so far. Feel free to create new or bump old threads for whatever isn't on the Index list, yet.
