News articles for almost every other franchise are REALLY FAST. I feel the fact that its not shonen, not Sailor Moon, being for kids in Japan and that 2 attempts to dub it have failed made ANN not really care for Precure... which I cant actually blame them for. And they are not the only ones, ANMTVLA took three days to put the relavant ariticles. I hope this relaunch is a success and precure becomes a household name outside

You're stretching a lot. ANN has reported on Pretty Cure diligently for years; they're certainly not expressing any biases against Pretty Cure by not reporting on certain things a day late. They must care if somebody is actively reviewing Wonderful, too.

And they've reported on other children's anime, too. I've seen articles for Anpanman, Doraemon, Chibi Maruko Chan, the Pretty Series etc.

I know ANN team is awesome. But I wanted to see a bit more love for Precure, especially now that the relaunch has started in earnest.

They've shown love in the past and continue to do so. Let's not act like Pretty Cure needs to e shoved into others' faces in order to validate it as "being loved".

I hope they revert back to calling Smile Precure and Dokidoki Precure when those seasons stream on CR, seeing them called Glitter Force everywhere with ANN is so annoying

Oh God THIS!!!!

I really hope it happens. TV Tropes and I think Wikipedia have to call it Glitter Force until a uncut release happens.

@ YagamiBlackstone255

You've repeated your point quite adequately. There's no need to continue.

Precure is sadly seen as a Sailor Moon clone. Magical Girls arent a genre in the west like it is in Japan.
Look I Know that but not all the Magical Girl Animes are the Same likely because of the Themes, Types or Popularity or is it because of the Styles. it's beacause they're different like one Magical Girl Show has a Team of Girls. and another has just one girl.

If you told me even a few years ago we would have this many Precure shows on Crunchyroll, I wouldn't believe you. I hope we'll get Yes Precure 5 and GoGo next.

At this point I'm starting to suspect that Toei and CR have made a deal to stream every Precure season and that they are just releasing them as soon as each season is fully translated. Because the order of releases seems a bit random, it seems like each season has a different translator, and I mean... four seasons in roughly two months... I would not at all be surprised if we get more soon.

Also I'm quite relieved to see that these backlog seasons seem to be on the whole well translated. Well, Mahoutsukai had that one episode that's so atrociously mistimed as to be borderline unwatchable, unless they've fixed that now... (It should not be difficult to fix.) But having done some quick comparisons to the old fan translations, CR has won out in most cases.

Wikipedia had reverted after Saban vandalised the pages to make it look like GF was the original and then adapted in Japan. Wild times.

One minor but interesting detail is Crunchyroll has rebranded all titles they're streaming from "Pretty Cure" to "PreCure".

I sure hope this is true. I also expect to see everything on CR soon. Hopefully they’ll get all the Pretty Series next.

My conspiracy theory is they're licensing content already available on Anime Digital Network to Crunchyroll. ADN was exclusively streaming Witchy, Splash Star and Max Heart; they got Princess last month, two months after CR.

I'm interested to see what happens next. Though I hope Cr can extend the other 2020 seasons to Europe and make Futari Wa widely available (there are still places that can't stream it).

My hope is they actually do a re-release of the original Precure on CR btw. Have you ever tried to watch it? Um....I have since I like supporting the companies. It..sounds AWFUL, like it's coming out of a trash can, and last time I tried with my headphones as I recall, the sound also had this AWFUL whine which hurt my ears.

Something is dreadfully wrong with the sound; luckily Tubi has it too with better sound. Now that they are adding more, I hope they revisit it and use better masters.

They should use that opportunity to finally give the original show's dub a streaming release. No idea why that's been MIA for like 15 years now.

The dub was produced by Ocean and their rights expired years ago and Toei probably has it under lock and key.

They added remastered video and new subs like a year or two ago.
