I don't see why this needs to be a requirement. Even if it's an adaptation of a manga, the anime should be able to stand as its own production, so it's fine if someone who's never read the manga is reviewing it as its own thing.

If reading the source material is a requirement to understanding the adaptation, then I'm inclined to say the show has failed to tell its story. So I'm glad when reviewers don't know the source material- it often exposes gaps or problems with the narrative as presented, when someone familiar with the original source would fill in the blanks without meaning to.

I missed the fun, marital, bliss of season 1 and am so happy to have it back and like the show never missed a beat! Even in terms of the Opening!

Also nice to see Nasa's teacher again and give her her own romance...and Nasa's cousin who is straight out of Way of the Househusband...

So the endgame is totally Nasa and Tsukasa having a wedding with her in a wedding dress, right?

Don't get me wrong, its totally ok to enjoy show without manga, I am pretty new to this site and I don't know maybe reviews made just by enthusiastic users, but if it journalism more in-depth analysis of material is required, so common show enjoyers who have no time or not accustomed to manga had whole picture. Also most of the article just speculation about how story will go, reading manga give answer this question and will free space for more personal thoughts about series.

I don't think it's necessary for reviewers to have read the manga/novel prior to reviewing the anime. Sometimes not knowing right away some of the things the manga explains later is part of the fun. If a reviewer would comment on something that happens later in the manga then it would be a spoiler and it would ruin the intrigue. My opinion is that these reviews are a way to be part of the show discussing recent episodes, even if you have not read the manga, sometimes it's fun to speculate together with the reviewer and other users, it just feels nice not knowing sometimes

It also brings about the risk of having certain expectations based on the source material. Going in blank versus loving the source material and thus wanting to love the anime in the same manner is tricky. In the worst case you deal with a negative mindset that is very hard to get rid off.

New episode wise, many anime sure do have a lot of amazing amusement parks. Real life amusement parks tend to be hit or miss, but maybe that is just me.

It's always fun watching an anime come up with their Disneyland equivalent and they went pretty all out here while still remaining copyright friendly.

Nasa and Tsukasa turned into Endo and Kobayashi for a second there.

Wow, couples in this anime sure jump to marriage quick, huh? Not that I mind.

You do know that not everyone watching the show or reading the reviews has read the manga either? No? Now you do.

The only thing better than that Hayate and Nagi cameo is that kissing fest at the end. Not to mention the teachers making out.

Aya is a hot mess and Kaname is a horny degenerate. What sisters these two are!

Why are they animated to look like children if they're adults...
Sigh

"Okay, there comes a point where I need to question how innocent the relationship between Nasa and Tsukasa is"

I read the whole manga, if you want my opinion (gonna place it in spoilers since I have no idea if their relationship status at the end its spoiler):

spoiler[TL/DR: No idea.

There are times you swear they went down on each other, but in the next morning they are like nothing happened, which clashes with other chapters where simply holding hands make them blush.

Other chapters you swear they went all the way, which, again, makes no sense by how they act the next day AND it would be a huge plot hole for Tsukasa's (real spoiler) ]
spoiler[regenerative powers because she would be back to being a virgin each time they do it and Nasa would notice something it's weird for the third time or so]

A surprising amount of characters are determined to get Nasa and Tsukasa laid!

But it was nice to meet Tsukasa's grandma/maternal figure, someone who can keep Tsukasa on her toes, knows her well, and seems more knowledgeable about her circumstances.

Plus, we got two Lum's in one episode!

I suppose this confirms that they haven't slept together or seen each other naked, despite previous scenes strongly implying otherwise.

Which scenes were those? I don't recall anything like that. The implication's always been that they're a long way from having sex.
