You bemoan the lack of nudity in the first episode, but how could you fail to mention the beaucoup beefcake in episode 3!?! I thought the hot springs scenes were hysterical!
So glad my beloved GK is back!!!

I wonder who from ep 40 the guy on the left in an army uniform who was carrying the dead Russian kidnapper is. Also the humour in GK is just too unique

Isn't that Warrant Officer Kikuta? Who we just met last episode.
Regarding this episode, based on voice actor clues, I think Lt. Tsurumi set everything up. The kidnapper that spoke to Koito sounds like Sgt. Tsukishima, and the other kidnapper that calls him "barchonok" was definitely Pvt. Ogata.

I'd have to go back and watch it again to be sure, but based on the stance and how he's holding the handlebars, I think there might be a Freddie Mercury tribute in there too.
That, plus the wink from Tsurumi to the ladies during the chase sequence, made this just an all-around delightful episode.

The Film episode was really good, both funny(especially Asirpa being a director) and interesting. In the modern world there is such much footage captured daily, it feels so meaningless, but back then 15 seconds of Film was a hugely important time capsule.

Indeed, what a show! Possibly the show that I have recommended the most in the last decade.

It's been a while since episode 42 has been released.
Any news on when the review will drop? Always waiting on your review before watching the episode

The animation for ep43 was some of the worst I've seen in the since season 1, sometimes characters would just slide into frame.

Now that it's back, and we're in the second half, I'm curious how far we'll get this season. The promotional images show some upcoming characters, but there is a good chunk of material before the story gets to them. I'm not going to be too surprised if it ends up stopping during a pretty action-packed section of the story.

In regards to what Tsurumi's guys see in him, I think for many of them, the answer is nothing. We've had several flashbacks where, in the past, Tsurumi gave them what they wanted/needed at the time, and only later did they realize that it was almost certainly a ploy. The thing is, by the time they figured it out, Tsurumi had them in so deep that they had nowhere else to go. The ones that I'd say are truly devoted to him are the guys that are psychotic enough to not care since he lets them indulge in their behaviors.

That was hilarious, I can't decide which character was best, the flamboyant river pirate or the Postman who was a little too dedicated to his job. However the stand out moment has to be the IT parody with Shiraishi.
