I see nobody cared about Pisces Aphrodite's poisonous flowers.

What, you think people wouldn't do something that stupid "For the 'gram?"

I can totally buy it. It's why Dr. Stone has to come with disclaimers not to try all the stuff they do in the show.

It's a shame, this was one of the better eye catches

Todays generation has turned into a bunch of pampered little babies that need to be reminded every second of their lives what's ok and what's bad. It'd say is sad, but to me it's more like anger within (bc I'm an artist) This and cancel culture are hurting art and comedy in ways that it will take decades before things go back to normal.

They should censor the guns, violence, and death next. Those can be imitated as well.

Those are totally comparable to putting some flowers in your mouth. Lol.

Whether it's necessary to change it or not, I really don't think it's THAT unreasonable to try to avoid this. People not knowing some flower is poisonous, is really not that crazy of a thought. You obviously shouldn't just put stuff in your mouth, but kids/teenagers (or adults) trying to recreate something they have seen in an anime, without putting much thought behind it is totally possible.

Your comparisons are especially bad, because those things are general knowledge to be bad/dangerous, while some specific flower being poisonous definitely isn't.

You're trying to correlate an actual safety issue with a bunch of brain-rot projections that you personally harbor. As "cancel culture" as you want it to be, if fans got sick by imitating this, it's going to be really bad for the studio. That's just how it is.

I read about this several days ago and it is a shame that it has to be done. It was my favorite eye catch of the anime. I understand why its has to be done but the art was one of the best I have seen in a very long time

I’m ok with this. The replacement eyecatches are pretty good as well. Besides, as if the episode with the original eyecatches are gone forever. That’s what the internet is for.

Just add a warning disclaimer text to the bottom.

Thus preserving the art. Informing people about something they didn't know. AND adding more thematic depth to your show's visuals and title. Everybody wins!

"But, nooooooooo...!", the PR department went...

Today's generation? Have you any idea how far back the saying "Monkey see, monkey do" goes?

As a bit of an oldie myself, I do find it somewhat funny that I couldn't read this comment without imagining it the voice of an exceptionally whiny 13 year old. Well, nobody ever said aging and maturity had to go hand in hand.

A whiny 13 year old who doesn't even realize what the "normal" they're pining for actually amounts to. (Or, if they are aware, they lack the courage to actually admit to in public. The kind of folks who think other people should "accept the consequences of their actions".)

Not to mention it's ROFLMAO funny that someone imagines a time existed when we weren't constantly reminded of what constitutes acceptable behavior and what wasn't.
