so
we all know the typical Anime Music where it starts off with a swell of Strings into the sky and then it goes into the Drums and the Synthesizers and then u·ve got the Guy with the Voice who·s all like "Dadaaa DA dada daa da DaDA" lol i·m a digital composer and i like putting anime references in things what are some of the elements of Anime Music that really pop out to you ? |

occasional inclusion of traditional Japanese instruments and themes And, the description you offer might apply to composers like Sawano Hiroyuki, there is a lot of anime music that doesn't sound like that. Kevin Penkin's OP for Made in Abyss comes to mind or Bump of Chicken's OP for 3-gatsu no Lion. I also suggest you take a look at two shows about high-school kids who have a love for traditional Japanese instruments -- Kono Oto Tomare and Mashiro no Oto. Forgot to include the talented Suehiro Kenichirou who wrote a very lyrical score for Girl's Last Tour and a witty take-off on action series for Cells at Work!.
