The last thing I need to hear is OGOATa being overworked. Glad she made the best decision.

If 2-3 days is a "hiatus," your industry has major issues.

That's not a hiatus that's a weekend.

Dammit, that's what I came to say. Down to the exact wording. But I agree, if she needs time to rest, she should take more.

It's a great decision for anyone who is overworked and will take a break. I hope she rests well indeed!
And I believe, this is also where the concept of Japanese work culture come into play, that's why it can be considered as a 'hiatus'. After all, not only that the Japanese need to work during office hours (that's the usual eight hours), but also during after-hours. They consider their socializing with the boss and other coworkers as part of work, and the basic rule here, really, is that no one can leave without having the boss leave first. This is usually the scene in a corporate/business world, but the fact that Ogata-san happens to own a talent agency, on top of her voice acting job and her 'after-working-hours' work and/or socializing with fellow co-workers... I could imagine it is more than eight hours. That's why there is such a thing as karoshi (過労死) in Japan, which literally means death by overwork.
It has been said before that Japan has the longest working hours in the world. Ogata-san definitely deserves that break.
And I hope this information helps, on the glimpse of the Japanese work culture!

I hope she takes the time she needs to properly rest and recover and doesn't immediately go straight back to work.

I feel the same way! Someone please get Ogata-san more time off; the last thing she needs is some kind of relapse.

I would also imagine that her status as the boss of the talent agency, and contractual nature of VO work, is part of why she can simply decide to take 2-3 days off. I would imagine most "normal" workers (for lack of a better term) could not do that and simply decide to take a short break when overworked. Which of course relates back to the overworking issue in of itself.
