Must be a really short season since it starts in August (effectively) and starts a third one later this year.

I'm wondering if this'll end up being like Fate/Extra Last Encore with a "main" season of 10 episodes and a final one of 3, or some similar numbers
Leave it to Shaft to try and invent split-split cours

LiSA should contribute some music to the PMMM series, too.

That's what I was thinking, too. It seems like once again Shaft couldn't finish all 13 episodes in time to air them all over 3 months, so they had to split them in two parts with a hiatus between them. Or does the game have enough remaining story content for more than 13 episodes?

Do there really need to be 3 seasons of this hollow chash grab spin-off? First season felt like a convoluted mess that tried to resell me the same twists from the original show as huge reveals but this time without having any message behind it all.
Say what you want about Rebellion but at least that was fresh and interesting! If they don't have any new ideas for the franchise then just stop!
Sorry if I come across as rude but I feel sad seeing the creators of my favourite anime making a bastardized 2.0 version of it. Waste of time and animators!
At least Urobuchi knew when to jump ship. Hope he still has a good ol' time with those sword fighting dolls.

No, but I really like the game and these characters so I'm glad they're making more. Since I've been playing the JP version I don't always know what's going on so it's nice to get a better grasp on it and to hear their voices.
I'm a fan of all the PMMM spin offs in general even if they frustrate me because the concepts they come up with are really interesting to me. I'll just make sure to enjoy this new season enough to cover the both of us.

The last few chapters of the first part of the story were really long, so I'm assuming they're doing this to avoid cutting much content.

There have been dozens of Madoka manga spin offs before this one so I don't know why people think Madoka is some sacred cow they can never make more of. Like the original Madoka was also used to market expensive anime figures and merch and spawned a whole bunch of edgelord Madoka clone shows. I would prefer them to take up as space as they need to tell the story than to rush everything and then fans of the game wouldn't be satisfied. The original Madoka was an interesting spin on the magical girl genre but it's always had a capitalist sell otaku figure cash grab angle to it. And I thought the new characters in Magia Record were interesting and I've been enjoying it for Shaft's unique animation style.

What the others have said concerning MR and the series. As for ur comment on Urobuchi, funny u say that, guess u didn't hear, Madoka Movie 4, the sequel to Rebellion is greenlit, continuing the story and the one u so mentioned is involved

The first season was so mediocre not sure I’ll even bother with the second.

I'm not against them making more at all. But so far this show just did nothing for me. As for the capitalist argument; even Eva was made with that in mind. What matters is the balance between the want to make money and the want to make art and with this show one definitely overshadowed the other.
