Very cool ! It's always nice to learn about how other countries' fans celebrate anime and manga.

This is so cool! Can't wait to see what comes out of Zambia as the anime culture evolves. Would love to read more "scene reports" from other countries like this.

Yes it is very interesting seeing the fandom in countries outside of the usual covered ones.

A truly global 'phenomenon. I hope to see two things: A growth in the local animation industry, and some successful Zambian animators in Japan.

It's amazing how similar the experience is. At first I thought I was reading an American tell their story before going into Zambia.
One interesting thing is that in Japan manga traditionaly is the big thing in their 2D pop culture, while anime is often just a facet/sideshow made to promote the manga. But everywhere outside of Japan, except perhaps in Taiwan and Korea, anime is more popular than manga.

Nice to see a growing love of Anime in the community of that country.
And I'm actually happy to see a positive environment in this thread so far.

Better, they could study animation in Japan, I doubt Zambian has any animation courses, and if they do not on the same level as Japan. So training overseas would help train talent for their domestic market.
