Hard to say... this list tends to change a lot, so here's what I've been watching recently.
1. Superdimensional Fortress Macross
2. Neo Ranga
3. Azumanga Daioh
4. Cowboy Bebop
5. Card Captor Sakura

In no specific order (because it's too hard):
Kimagure Orange Road
Hikaru no Go
Robot Carnival
Naruto
Akira
Heck, it was hard just to put 5. If you wanna know what I really think then just look at my "My Anime" as it clearly has ratings for most of what I've seen.

Oh, why not, it's been awhile:
Tenchi Muyo!
Oh! My Goddess
You're Under Arrest
Spirited Away
......hmm...fine...I guess......
Naruto (at least currently)
Hard to say which is first, though.

Hmmm...lemme think...okay, these aren't in any order, but...
-Ayashi no Ceres
-Boogiepop Phantom
-Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuioku-Hen (*mutters* also known as Samurai-X...)
-X (TV Series)
...And that's where I get stuck. Those four are absolutely top favourites, but as for naming a fifth...there are so many that I absolutely love that I don't want to exclude...FLCL, Azumanga Daioh, Vampire Princess Miyu (OVAs), Cowboy Bebop (plus movie), Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro, Fruits Basket, Full Metal Panic! (including Fumoffu), Mahoromatic...I'd list Witch Hunter Robin, but I've only seen five episodes and don't feel quite qualified to list it (yet, that is...).
Ah hell, let's just say the four above, and insert one of the aforementioned "candidates" to your liking.

Pointless, but fun. Here are my top ones for now:
1. Full Moon wo Sagashite
2. Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal
3. My Neighbor Totoro
4. InuYasha
5. the Kyoto Arc of Rurouni Kenshin
Yeah...I pretty much like fluff. Things that don't make me think too hard are nice.

In no particular order
-You're Under Arrest
-GTO
-Nadesico
-Cowboy Beebop
Now I get stuck, with so many series I am currently watching and some of my older favorites I can't decide. I guess I'll follow Nagisa's lead in that you can pick any one of these for my fith choice. Excel Saga, Love Hina, Bubble Gum Crisis, or Macross.

Star Blazers
Record of Lodoss War (OAV)
Kiki's Delivery Service
Gunbuster
El Hazard.

Might as well:
Naruto
Inuyasha
Witch Hunter Robin
X TV
Rurouni Kenshin (Kyoto and Jinchuu arc and Tsuioku-Hen)
They're in no order. A top 10 would be better since I love so many shows!
