These are the advantages of easily memorizing an anime theme some. First, if you like the song. After on, it will be easy to memorize just hear out the rhythm and melody of the song.
Second, lyrics is essential to perfectly get the song, perfect timing, good grammar of words would be a benefit of reducing to hardly memorizing the song. Third, it takes practice, twist and turns, hear out the song always. That is my way in memorizing such anime theme, takes me about a day to memorize. |

Wow everyone who posted in this thread seems to have an amazing memorization ability to me. Songs that I intend to actually memorize so that I can karaoke them without looking at lyrics sheets will usually take me an entire month of listening to the song dozens of times a day. The first few days when trying to just get the first few stanzas down will require between 200-300 listens. Then when not listening to the songs I'll read and reread the lyric sheet hundreds of times and try to go over them in my head without looking. It's a long an grueling process but I've learned over a dozen anime songs in this manner. Trouble is, that was a while ago and I've probably forgotten all of them except for maybe 2 or 3 songs.
But it will probably only take me a week of reviewing them to get most of the lyrics down that I've forgotten. My brain leaks like a sieve 
There are a couple songs that I just memorized the lyrics from without intending to simply because I've listened to them so many times like L'arc~en~ciel songs, but we're talking about songs I've listened to 10's of thousands of times over a period of many years. |
