this just now being reported here? Dejatoons IRC network had this posted on their news back on 12/18.

wrong press release... you're thinking of the other one.

sounds to me like someone did a major radio no-no. they wouldn't just drop them with no good reason.

Webcasting is a big money drain if you got nothing coming in. They just couldn't keep up.


I am proud to anounce that Toon Radio will carry Anime in the Limelight from this week forward. Smile


BTW: the Dejatoons release was mine.

I seriously doubt that has anything to do with why they dropped it. You shouldn't be spreading around nasty rumors like that.

I am a dejatoons member. I got the onformation, because I was informed of it by Limelight Media (AitL's owner) and some of my listeners. I told peopel around the dejatoons channels.

You ever stop to think about that press release? They have no rights to mention another person's business and what their plans are. I'm frankly suprised that they were that unprofessional to even put that kind of crap up there. I think if you want the real story, you should get it from the source, not from listeners, AITL, or anyone else. Listeners like to spread stuff just because they want to create trouble. They don't know the real reason, only AITL does. The fact of the matter is, it sounds to me like they are probably not even really sure what the hell is going on. For them to release rumors, and other slamming information is just unreal. People need think THINK before they write... obviously something you, and them haven't considered.

Then again, I think were are talking about two different things.

I didn't make a press release, I was just telling people they were considering dropping AitL, which was true and open to the publi at the time. I did give them a press release concerning my aquisition though. I didn't mention the actual cancelation until last week.

I don't suppose it really matters anyway. Most of the people I know didn't like the show, and even on Japan-A-Radio's own forums, people are now saying they are glad it's off.
