RIP Kitagawa, i read this article on several AramaJapan, Japan Times and more. Good to see a lot of J-Entertainment fans mourning him.

About time. I hated this man, especially with the way his company handled the whole SMAP fiasco. Good riddance.

I hope Johnny & Associates' successors do not make the same business mistakes as their father, who has affected the expansion of Japanese entertainment outside Japan.
RIP Johnny Kitagawa

It's not very nice to hate one single man over the actions of many is it? Especially when none of us will know just what went on behind the closed doors of Johnny & Associates.

Honestly, even if "they were wiped out" its not a guarantee that things will change. Just takes a few to keep up with their philosophies. This is how we still have bad ill-will people in the world.

This, the idol industry is full of shady folk and corporate tyrants. Kitagawa's death or the rest of the family being blacklisted will not ensure change as there will be another bad manager to take his place. Heck, the industry can't even change when some of the idols themselves also turn out to be half as bad as the suits managing them.

Well, it's a good start. |
Yeah, from what I've read he was an utterly horrible person.

I'm also glad he's gone. I always believed those boys that said they were molested by him. He was too powerful in the industry and those young men were silenced.

Chiming in just to toss some rude insults will not be tolerated. Nobody says you have to like him or miss him, but either be respectful or don't post.
