A lot of people in the anime community always talk about how bd sales are the ones that determine that if a series gets a new season( there are a lot of factors actually) but this is the first time where i have seen that sales numbers directly affect it.
Good for the fans, hope they enjoy it.

What a drama
Still good news though. Congrats to the staff and fans.

DVD/BD sales is one of perhaps only two data points we normally have access to (with the other being sales of the source material).
I suppose one could have an anime that flops in home video sales in Japan, but sells a ton of merchandise or music, or is a runaway success in international licensing, but more often than not there is probably a correlation with home video sales in Japan.

I'm actually happy for them. This struggle for a second season has been unique to follow.

Indeed when the first vol of Fukigen na Mononokean sold like 300 copies I never expected a second season ever. Yet here we are.

That closeness makes me wonder if there were a few superfans purchasing multiple box sets to push it over the boundary.

They did it ^^
I'm happy to hear that a 2nd season is coming, Jashin-chan wasn't anything special but it was good comedy nonetheless.

Yes, I really enjoyed this show and its gloriously horrible characters (if you know what I'm saying). Happy to hear this announcement, and surprised on how they just made it to the finish line.
(Someone mentioned Devil is a Part-Timer? Another series I wish that has a second season.)

...but Nomad never animated School-Live, Lerche did.
I swear, do these parentheticals lack quality control or something, because they could really use it.

Did the first season ever really go anywhere? I think I stopped somewhere during the third episode and just foresaw a repetition of the same gags coming.

I don't really care about all of the bs about how well it sold, I just finished watching the series and had a blast. Another season of it is very much appreciated.
