The Ultra series did have two live action English language productions produced before this; "Ultraman: Towards the Future (Ultraman Great in Japan)" which was a co-production with the South Australian Film Corporation in 1990 (but didn't get broadcast in most markets until 1992) and "Ultraman: The Ultimate Hero (Ultraman Powered in Japan)" in 1993 which was another co-production with US company Major Havoc Entertainment. Both were significant not only because both were produced in English with western actors, but also they were the first Ultra series since "Ultraman 80".

Reboot? TV show or movie? Because the latter well, they have to do SOMETHING after Godzilla vs Kong: Dawn of Justice.

I look forward to seeing whatever comes of this. The Ultraman franchise has been waiting for this opportunity for a long time now!

If the project is co written by Tsuburaya then that could work.
