I guess the budgets couldn't allow for it to be made by one studio.

So does Road to Berlin move the story forward? I really hope there is some kind of resolution in sight for the war or at least some deep reveals behind the Neuroi finally.

Not really a budget problem, but a matter of circumstances. The first one was made by Gonzo, which during that time was struggling. The second one was then made by AIC Spirits (during that time, Gonzo isn't producing any anime). Unfortunately after that, AIC went kaput so by the time the 3rd TV series came out (Brave Witch), it was transferred to Silver Link.

Three Strike Witches news, including an idol one in three years. That is awesome. We always need more Strike Witches.

Girls without pants is always fun so I guess I'm all in no matter what they do.
Not too sure about the idol one though. Not a huge fan of idol shows.

3 new Strike Witches anime...
*deep sigh*
It's just fascinating to me how this franchise manages to stay relevant years after its debut in anime and manga.

Many anime pass by unnoticed and are easily forgotten.
Some become classics and will forever have a place on anime and stay relevant. Strike Witches is one of those.

No, it's not. The franchise died with the movie when nothing happened. Now the whole enterprise is trying to widen itself before the audience notices no one has any idea how to advance the plot. 501 Butai is the comedy slice of life during wartime one, the idol one is the idol one and the Road to Berlin one is the final one?... until we move into the Pacific because of course we do.

Please tell me that the Road to Berlin is the Third season that I've been waiting for since they teased it at the end of the movie. Even though I am extremely excited to have the main 501st unit back, I'm really sad that Mio isn't in the main cast anymore. She is my favorite character. I'm still extremely salty about what happened at the end of the movie with Yoshika tho. lol. I hope Mio shows up somehow in the Road to Berlin thing.
I'll atleast have her in the other 501st slice of life anime thing, I think.

After the movie you have 1 LN, 1 spinof anime series and 3OVA , This before the 3 new projects.
The franchise is still going strong.

Strike Witches is still and will be relevant in Japan, mecha musume is genre that will never die. Japan and the West has different taste.
