After a year of listening to music from Jrock(even metal) all the way to the popiest of Jpop. I've realised that just about all of the songs have guitar solos. It's incredible to hear music drived by musical innovations and actual talent(including Bass drums etc.)
there are those moments in music that are memerable like surtain guitar solos and things of that nature, I havn't heard every song out there but of the ones I've heard and am thinking of right now are:
The guitar solo of
Basilisk kouga Nimpou Chou (last ending theme)Hime Murasaki It kind of mimics the vocals, and is quit simple. throughout the whole song the guitars tend to counter the mood that the piano leads and still keep that [exhale] quality to it.
Death note (1st ending) Alumina exacly halfway in the song after several ups and downs in velocity the song breaks down to some melo-dramadic bass and guitar with simple drums as the vocals continue and carry into a beutiful guitar solo that pushs the drums and bass into new volumes only to bring the chorus back again.
The current bleach op by High and Mighty Color, at least in the guitars reminds me of slayer.
there is so much more. hate me for that Slayer comment!

My all time favorite metal/rock solo from Japan is Yoshiki's Harpsichord solo from X Japan's Art of Life. It is no surprise that most of my favorite Japanese solos are from X Japan since their songs tend to have a ton of great solos.
I tend to lean towards good keyboard solos. I believe Show-Ya's Fairy has another of my favorite keyboard solos. There is a real classical sound to it.

X Japan's Kurenai has some good guitar in it, although i can only say that from my ear, and i can't explain any of the technical aspects. Lover Boy by L"Arc-en-Ciel to.
oh, and if the guitars remind you of slayer, then that could be what they were going for.

The Slayer comparison is actually from the guitar solo of Bleach 3rd op "ichirin no hana"by High and Mighty Color. The solo is actually cut from in the opening do to time, I guess. The reason it reminds me of Slayer is because in the solo it does that swiching back in forth between guitars. I'm sure that one person did it ,but recorded it like that on purpose. Only that part reminds me of slayer, the rest is pretty different. The drums are somewhat fast-pace but sounds more up-to-date as far as playing goes. Like slayer the bass does'nt stand out as much but is good non-theless. Overall the song it'self is very cachy, not to mention it's sung by a female. I tend to like songs more when there sung by female voices, The song also contains some screaming.

I haven't heard the song, but if duel solos are the only comparison, they are NOT the only band that does that. Basically any band with two lead guitarists do it.

A million people could play the same guitar, the same song and play it different. The instrument you play reflects your talent, mind, personality and especially style. There's many bands that have 3 somethimes more guitars at a time and still can't pull off something some bands with one guitar could. and I'm sure the"Ichirin no hana" solo was recorded by one person and did the swiching thing on purpose. even if the band has more guitarists, I have that srong feeling that one person is responsible.
Moving on... I actually like the bass more than the guitar. And amazing bass players are somthimes rare in metal because most bass players prefer guitar themselves
example: playing with pick, doing guitar things(at least in most cases) that individual perfers guitar.
Name one bass player that plays with pick and sounds amazing.

That wasn't my point at all. I don't see why you could compare it to
Slayer just on the basis of lead trade-offs (regardless of whether it's done by one, two, or a hundred guitarists.
Maybe I should hear the song before I judge. I'm sure it doesn't sound like Angel of Death, War Ensemble, Reign in Blood or Necrophobic, but hey, I may be wrong.
Edit: Yeah, I don't think you've heard a single Slayer song. There's not even duel solos in that song. At the very least it's like X-Japan meets screamo, and even that's really pushing it.

You obvously don't think that some band can sound like slayer, I,ve been playing drums for a while and can pull of slayer songs,Also on bass.
Every musicion [let's use Kerry King] Has a peticular style though since slayers first release I'd say it's progresed or at least changed somehow. So if you heard all that he has played and recorded logically you'd come acustome and recognize his style. Let's say you heard a new song of a new band and you recognize that aswell. It's not hard to say "that guy sounds like this guy".
Do you play an instrument...The reason for that is because you seam to be offended by the thought of someone sounding like slayer, anyone with skills can sound like slayer.
If they can't they don't have skills.

Of course a band can sound like other bands. There are indeed plenty of bands that sound like slayer. This band sounds absolutely nothing at all like slayer.
There is absolutely no ounce of anything that would even suggest a slayer reference in the slightest.

Have you heard the actuall moment in the song of wich I was describing?
Hmm...I obviously can't change your opinion. But I am surprised one person actually agreed with me. I fear that we can go into this slayer thing forever, resulting in slightly rewritten statements and explenations. As for slayer, like I said I'v learned/played their music mostly the recordings between Reign in blood-Seasons in the abyss along with some songs that have stood out to me since then.

What I've done is sometimes without thinking about it is take or adapt a part of a song that I'v ben thinking about. Into another song while(mostly) performing live. I've never had those moments pointed out by anyone. We'r almost done making the songs for the new album and I have yet to apply one of those moments in a song. Once recording at least for me I seem to adlib alot, and it sometimes works. Some of my best things from my 1st recording were made up on the spot.
What songs would you like to perform live? For me rightnow it's...
"Like a foojin" drums are pretty simple but it's a great song.
Almost anything from L'ark~en~ciel, their music is incredible though they record to many insruments that they can't play live.
"Rewrite" since I'v heard it I'v wanted to perform that song I don't care the instrument
I don't know about you but my band dislikes anime and the bass player dispices japanese music. I'd be listening to a song and he'll like it until the vocals start. He'll say "that's not even popular in Japan"

I hear "fast drumming" Which is what slayer has done, yes, but it's also a staple of any fast tempo rock song. I hear admitedly good solos, but the're not the insane trade-off solos that King/Hanneman play. I hear some screaming, but it's crappy core/screamo screaming, and nothing at all like Araya's delivery, nor anything remincent of slayer clones (Hypnosia, Dew Scented, etc). It's barely a metal song, much less thrash, and certainly nothing like slayer or any of their ilk. Like I said, it it's closer to an outtake from XJapan's Dahlia at the very least, and I'm being extremely generous.

Ha ha ha ha. I see where you're coming from with the Slayer reference, but I'm going to have to side with DragonsRevenge. The solo really sounds nothing remotely similar to anything Slayer does; it's got too much melody, Slayer's style is more about fast, chaotic noise.
