I have come across an AMV (Click here) whose music I am trying to track down. It's my understanding that the name of the song is Key of Gold and the artist is Naomi Tamura. But I'm not certain that my understanding is correct; I listened to this clip and they do not sound alike at all!!!
Am I just tone deaf or is there another version of the song out there?

That's a self-cover album with about 7 years in between the two recordings. That's probably the difference you're hearing.

So how do I go about making sure that the version of Key of Gold in the AMV is the same as the one that I decide to purchase? (this will be the first time that I've tried doing this online -- all of my music purchases have been through brick-and-mortar stores)

well...if you go to yesasia.com and type in the artist's name that you mentioned and just search through the tracklisting to find which it's on. it may even have been released as a single. or go to wikipedia.org and type in her name to see if they have any comprehensive discogrophies. they may even mention the artist who covered it before her. |
