I just found outthat on October 9th, Myspace will release Polysics or Die!!!! Vista. Seems to be a re-release of Tofu Record’s Polysics or Die!!!! with a few new tracks from this years’ album, Karate House. Also comes with a dvd of music videos and performances. Polysics will also be touring on the Myspace Tour with Say Anything and Hello Goodbye.

Yeah, they're coming to my city on my birthday. They're playing a with a bunch of horrible bands though. Still, it's polysics + my birthday so I cannot deny myself.

I just picked up Polysics or Die Vista. It's basically a redo of Polysics or Die with more tracks and some swapped out for tracks from Now is the Time and Karate House. Some, like Buggie Technica, are missed (though there's a live performance of it on the DVD that comes with the DVD). And you'd think maybe the second time around they'd throw the "Mr. Roboto" cover on here, darnit. It's also too bad that our chances of getting Karate House a full US release are currently shot, but on the other hand, maybe Myspace Records starting off with a new greatest hits album was a smart move to help reintroduce Polysics to the States, with a lot more clout than Tofu to do so.

I would love to go to their concert but it’s on a work night. My friend likes Say Anything so maybe I can convince him to go. Anyway, I bought the cd at Best Buy last night for $14.99. It felt good to walk into a big chain store like that and buy a Polysics cd. Here’s the tracklist:

New Wave Jacket [live] Here is the breakdown by album: Polysics or Die!!!!: 2, 5, 10, 11, 14, 16 Now is the Time!: 3, 6, 9, 13, Karate House: 1, 7, 8, 12, 15 I’m pretty sure Track 4 is either a new recording or a b-side. I was unable to locate the song on another release in their discography. I was pretty disappointed that they didn’t include “Domo Arigatou” on the cd too, especially since they put the frickin robot on the back cover! |
